So... can we get a vote?

"Turn right!" Blake yelled, looking behind us at the black mini vans.

"No, left! There's a dead end that way!" Brent contradicted.

"How about we go towards the woods!?" Bryce growled, driving towards the bat that would take us into the forest, dodging another round of bullets.

Brody was leaning out the window, throwing Molotov Cocktails at the pursuers, while I threw smoke bombs. I was still in shock, having no idea what was happening, I was just doing what I was told.

I'm sure you're wondering how on Earth I ended up in this situation, right? Well...

Six Hours Earlier...

"Let's do this!" I said, slamming my fist in my palm.

We were at Disneyland, and we had already bought mouse ears hats.. each one having our name stitched on the front in cursive letters.

They were beautiful.

I gasped as I saw Tower of Terror. “Guys…” I whispered. “Behold…”

We were all looking at the potential death trap like we were fat kids and it was a piece of cake.

“Let’s go!” Jenny broke the silence, grabbing our hands and dragging us towards the ride.

We were talking about how exciting it was going to be, whenever I spotted something.

“Uh, girls?” I said awkwardly. “Look… it’s Brody.”

“Williams?” Jenny asked, standing on tip toe to look over the sea of people.

“Yes, Williams.” Penny sighed, rolling her eyes. “Do we know another Brody?”

“…There was a Brody in this book I found in the library…”

That earned her slaps on the head.

“You people are so abusive.” Jenny huffed, glaring at Penny and I.

I mock gasped. “Don’t be ridiculous!!”

Jenny raised an eyebrow. “You did push a kid our teacher’s kid out of the swing…”

I threw my hands up in the air, but I did care. “Oh, enough about the kid!! I’m telling you, it wasn’t my fault!!”

“Sure.” Jenny said, clearly not believing me.

“I’m so insulted.” I grumbled.

With all our bickering, we were next in line. We hopped in, smiles across our faces.

The staff members came and made sure we’d all followed the safety precautions, before the ride started.

A scream ripped from my throat as the elevator shaft plummeted into the darkness below. Just as I thought the ride had broken and we were going to die, it stopped abruptly, and then rose upwards at 20 mph.

And then it plummeted again.

My knuckles were turning white from how tight I was clutching the railing. But above all of all the screaming, I could hear a distinctive voice laughing.

“This… is… AWESOME!!” Brody yelled, his hands in the air like he just didn’t care.

Yeah… even I’m shocked at how lame I was.
