This is the story about a girl named Claire Mildred Meadow. She wasn't your average thirteen-year-old girl. Her mother died from a car crash when she was 8 and she was left with her drunk father.

One day, when her father sent her shopping, Claire decided to run away. She bumped into someone at the store who little did she know, would change her life.
