It had been a week since Petergate, at least, that's what Sam and Bucky insisted on calling it. While they'd never admit it, they were the ones to coax Peter out of his anger and upset, while Wade tries to talk to Steve so he understood what had happened.

Steve wasn't quite there lately. He wasn't himself, not even in small moments or little glimpses.

He had still been putting up with it all. The cheating, the lies, the little spouts of anger. It didn't make sense why he stayed. It made perfect sense to him, at least that's what he kept telling them.

Bruce remembered asking: " Why do you put up with this?"
After finding Steve sleeping on the couch so Tony and Strange could have a nice night.

Steve only replied: " It's better this way, he'll come back to himself before we know it."

Bruce didn't understand it. He supposed he also didn't understand Tony, and he wasn't sure he ever had. Their relationship had died and there was Steve, staring at the corpse and trying to shake it awake.

They had kids, sure. Three of them. But Harvey and Peter had left the nest a long time ago, and Pepper had custody or Morgan. None of his PHD's had given him the knowledge for this situation. No matter how hard he thought about it or how many times he spoke to Steve, it never cleared up his confusion.

On the other hand, Loki had taken the wedding planning into his hands. He said he was "born for this" and "really excited". It had been funny to see Loki all Giddy. It had been even funnier to see Thor sigh in relief, because he had no idea how to plan a wedding, and neither did Bruce.

He also found out what his ring was made out of.  Thor's first training sword.

Bruce wasn't sure how he got it but most of him didn't really care. He remembered Thor and him talking about the marriages on Asgard, and how fond he had been of the traditions. The exchanging of swords and melting of the rings always fascinated Bruce. Thor remembered. He always remembered.

Now that he's thought about it, all he had left to do was establish kidgate. Another loving name from Bucky and Sam.

Good thing he was driving Peter home, he had a lot of questions. Being a superhero's kid had never been easy and the thought of him and Thor become Steve and Tony frightened him.

Bruce pressed a light kiss on his fiancè's temple. He gave him another light kiss after changing and getting ready to go. A small smile fell over Thor's lips with every kiss.

" Get some more rest, I'll be back before you know it." Bruce promised with a small chuckle, stroking the man's beard softly.

" Mhm you better be," Thor opened those ocean orbs and gazed up at his Eros. He pulled him back down to gently connect their lips. " Don't be a runaway fiancè.."

" Loki already told me not to be a runaway groom," Bruce cooed softly. He pressed his forehead against The God's and ran fingers through his long blond hair. " he said the dramatics were his job, so I guess I'm stuck with you."

After a string of quiet banter, Bruce jad finally pulled away and left Thor with another kiss. He found Peter and Wade where they had accidentally fallen back asleep on the couch, and guided his zombie nephews into the car.

It had taken an hour, and two stops for coffee for Wade and Peter to wake all the way up. Before they had been mumbling and letting out little grunts in response to Bruce.

Peter sat in the front seat beside his Uncle Bruce, and Wade was in the middle seat of the back. He had been protesting most of the way because he "didn't want to be left out" which was impossible with someone as talkative as Wade.

He kept poking his head in between the two front seats so he was in on the conversation. Peter occasionally pushed his head back a little if he made a joke or reference his Uncle didn't quite understand.

" Okay, it's time for the talk." Bruce hummed after awhile, looking at the two boys.

Peter who had already had "the talk" a long time ago, furrowed his brows. Wade went on to say something about sex but a web to his mouth stopped him mid-sentence.

" Not THAT talk." Bruce shook his head, eyes studying the road for a long time as he drove. " Well, there are two talks but this one is the good one."

" Are You going to yell at us about security in the apartment?" Peter whined a little, his face going sour. "Aunt Natasha already yelled at me AND Wade."

" She said she was disappointed in me. " Wade huffed quietly, crossing his arms iver his chest. " Momma Tash isn't allowed to be disappointed in me, it's like a written rule!"

"No, I'll spare you both that talk. I think you've had enough of that." Bruce chuckled a little. Natasha, Sam, Bucky, and Thor had all yelled at them about the security. " Peter, Wade, you're adults now. I understand why you wanted to take care of it yourself, and I respect that decision."

There was a long pause, and both of them looked at each other, a little unsure of what would come next.

" I won't always agree with you," He started again, looking at Wade and then at Peter with a small smile. " But I'll always support you."

Peter was half comforted, but half of him felt that anger rise inside of him again. Why hadn't this talk come from either of his father's? Why did it have to take Bruce to say it? He still didn't understand. Tony could never admit when he was wrong, and he certainly didn't support Peter in most things he did. Steve was the complete opposite, but he had been cut off from Peter a long long time ago.

" The real talk is.." There was a long pause. Bruce always tried to speak his words very carefully, and by now they were used to the pauses. "What was it like? Being the son of two superheroes?"

Peter had to think about that question. His childhood had been perfect with Tony and Steve. They hadn't taken him from his Aunt, instead they co-parented with her and supported her when she couldn't. He always was Tony's son. It wasn't until he grew up that it had all fallen apart.

" It wasn't bad," Peter started with a quiet sigh. " When papa and dad were on missions, I got to be with my Aunt May. When they were hurt, I got to visit them. I only got kidnapped twice and one of them was Wade so I don't think it counts.."

" I would like to add, the kidnapping was actually a surprise trip to Wakanda." Wade added softly.

" You became a hero too, what was it like?" Bruce sighed a little, that was reassuring.

" Well.. It was good, I just felt like I had to do it. I had a power most people don't have so I felt like it was my responsibility to keep people safe. " Peter thought about it for a long time. "Dad wasn't supportive of that, and it made things so much harder.."

"This isn't about Peter, is it?" Wade softly spoke, kissing the spider's head softly.

" No. It's not."

" Who's it about then?"

Bruce looked away, cheeks going pink as he looked back at the road. Wade let out a quiet noise like he understood, and whispered in Peter's ear.

" Ohhhhh," Peter cooed, looking at his Uncle with a large smile.

" Yeah well, don't tell Thor about this." Bruce said with a pout. " We both agreed we wouldn't bring kids into this.."

Peter and Wade both pinky promised Bruce that they wouldn't say a word. After a long time they were at their destination. Pete looked at Uncle Bruce with a pout, a soft sigh leaving him.

" Come inside with us."
