Thank those that are still here for being patient with me, I have so many story ideas but no motivation to upload any of them, so I do a bunch of writing and then do nothing with it. I have 60 drafts that are mostly 1-3 chapters, it's a problem. Anyway! Enjoy this chapter and hopefully it doesn't take so long for the next chapter!
-------
Today was a field trip. They all knew this because they had to take forms home for parents to sign. Where they are going, however, was not revealed to the students. So to say some of the class was antsy to find out was an understatement. Several students were unable to sit still. Izuku looks around to the antsy students. Bouncing legs, pens and pencils tapping desks, nail biting, thumb twiddling. Nervous tics were revealing themselves as they all waited for their homeroom teacher.
When Aizawa did enter, some of the class went rigid, some leaned forward in their seats and others were indifferent to the situation. The teacher gets to the podium, turning to the students with a yawn. He reaches into his pocket, taking out a card.
"As you all know, we are taking a trip. We're going to an off-campus site called the Unforeseen Simulation Joint to work on," he pauses to show the card, "rescue." They're instructed to change into their costumes and get on the bus, Iida taking his role as class rep to form a bus seating plan. This plan ends up not working out due to the bus layout. While riding the bus, students talk among themselves. Izuku tuned out of the conversation until he hears his name.
"Izuku's quirk is probably the strongest out of everyone in this class," he hears the red-haired boy, Kirishima, say to the group. "His or Todoroki's"
Izuku looks to the mentioned boy, who seem to not be listening. Todoroki seemed to be trying to get some rest. And while he was looking at the boy he noticed the blonde that was normally watching Izuku intently was looking out the window.
"Both of them are at least mostly emotionally unattached," this comes from Tsuyu. Izuku internally hums in understanding why she thought that about him. He doesn't put forth a lot of emotion, verging on not at all.
"True, but that doesn't make their quirks not powerful!" Kirishima is all smiles when he says this. Bakugou opens his mouth, perhaps to add to the conversation, but the bus arrives and the students file off before he gets the chance. Once off, they are met with another pro, the space hero, Thirteen. Uraraka eyes twinkling as they widen as she starts to bounce in place. Izuku looks to the building behind the hero as they're led inside. Once inside, he opts for looking at the different sections than listen to Thirteen explain. It's fairly self-explanatory what they're going to be doing. He tunes back in when he feels he's looked around enough.
"As you all know, I have a powerful quirk called 'Black Hole'. It-" Izuku gets a bad feeling and looks around once more, wondering if he missed something, once more not listening.
After a while, Thirteen seemingly done for now, a black and purple cloud appears next to the fountain at the bottom of the stairs. The feeling eating at his stomach getting worse as they all watch it get bigger, then people start walking through.
"Is this part of the training? Are we starting already?" Kirishima asks, taking a step forward. Eraserhead sticks his arm out, telling everyone to stay back. The situation becomes obvious as he puts his goggles on. Izuku adjusts his gloves and harness as the villains draw closer. He sees Eraserhead jump down, but before he can move forward to assist, there's a hand on his shoulder to grab his attention. He looks back to see Iida and almost growls at the boy for stopping him.
"Come on, we have to get out of here," the engine-legged boy says, motioning to the already-fleeing students and Thirteen. I guess I should make sure the other students stay safe, the green haired boy follows Iida, joining the class just in time to see the black and purple cloud once more. He pushes his way to the front of the class and just behind Thirteen, his eyes intently on the fog as it takes the almost shape of a person. He doesn't listen to the villain, looking for a weakness instead.
