(Rewrite) The Puppeteer

Chapter 3

This took so long to get transferred to Wattpad from my notebook lol. Don't know how long until the next chapter is out, but for those that have been waiting patiently and haven't given up on this story, here you go!

The class was chatting around him, excited for what the day would bring. Izuku is just looking out the window. He could feel eyes on him, but pays no mind to it. The door suddenly opens, revealing All Might in an old costume. Some students make comments on this as the man goes to the front of the room.

"Today we're doing battle training!" All Might announces, holding up a card that says 'battle'. "You all we be put in teams of two and face off against one another in an indoor battle. But before we get to that, you all sent in forms regarding your hero outfits." He presses a remote and a section of the wall opens, revealing 20 cases containing hero outfits for the students. Everyone grabs their case excitedly, with the exception of a few student who did so calmly. They all go to change into their new outfits and go out to training ground beta.

Izuku looks down at his outfit as people finish changing and leave. He has green skin-tight fingerless gloves that have a device on the knuckles to shoot wires that he can control to capture, fight or escape. The end of each wire as a device to connect to surfaces. He has similar devices on his back for him to activate and pull him backwards if he has no other way out of a situation. The suit itself has devices in the legs to strengthen his arms and in the shoes to make his kicks more powerful. He doesn't need much to help his quirk so it's mainly focused on physical abilities.

He finishes changing and goes out to join his class and teacher. He looks at everyones outfits. He hears footsteps approach and looks to see the brunette once more. He looks at her costume, but doesn't much care for the showiness of it. If it's what she likes, it's whatever, but he personally doesn't like it.

"I like your outfit!" She says cheerily, making the boy sigh internally.

"Thank you," he nods a thanks, but tries not to remark on the showiness of her outfit.

"I probably should have been more clear of my designs, huh? Skin-tight isn't exactly my style," she smiles, chuckling as she rubs the back of her neck.

"You could get it redesigned if it's not working for you," the boy suggests, glancing at a grape-haired boy that's staring at the brunette.

"It's fine, I suppose. Maybe it'll actually end up being better!" Izuku hums before looking to All Might.

"You'll be drawing lots to decide who'll be on what team and then I'll draw to decide who'll face who as villains and heroes," the man explains. He explains the exercise, including answering questions from students.

Izuku ends up being teamed up with the brunette and facing off against Bakugou and the engine kid. Izuku glances at Bakugou, who hesitantly looks over out of the corner of his eye. Izuku sighs This won't be much of a fight if Bakugou is too scared to fight. Izuku and Uraraka are playing the villains in this exercise. Izuku doesn't like the idea of being a villain, having been called one his whole life, but he has no choice but to accept the hand he's been dealt. All Might gives everyone ear pieces and capture tape.

Izuku opens the map once he and Uraraka are inside. They're given a few minutes to prepare for the heroes. He immediately begins to think of tactics as they approach the room with the weapon.

"Okay, here's my idea," Izuku begins, walking over to the windows. He makes sure they're locked. "Can you find anything to block or strengthen the windows?" Uraraka begins looking around and moving items to block the windows as Izuku continues to explain. "I'll stay with the weapon to protect it. I have no doubt one of them will make it here. I need you ensure it isn't Iida. He'd be able to get past me and to the weapon if he gets in here. I need you to take him out of the equation. I can handle Bakugou if he gets past you, but Iida is too fast. I'll block the weapon with my wires, but that leaves me with less weapons. All you need to do is touch Iida or get him wrapped in the capture tape. If you can, try to get Bakugou as well. Don't feel bad if you aren't able to, though. He's quite a fighter, always has been."
