~They broke the wrong part of me, they broke my wings but forgot i had claws.~
The click of the door opening ,perked up my ears when I was speaking to the boys. Beomgyu lazily walked in leaving the door to close on its own. He plopped on the beanbag beside me, giving me a light hand wave at the same time.
" So...how did they know?" I asked immediateley leaving the others in the room hanging on the part I stopped talking.
" You wanna talk here?" he nudged his chin towards boys and emphasized the word here, clear enough for me to understand, what he was implying on.
" Yeah, don't mind them. Now about my question."
" The police is so stupid. They even took the false lead faultily. They were supposed to go the complete opposite way. The officer in charge heard the directions wrong." he remarked, low-key amused by their stupidity. i chuckled as a response.
It is hilariously amusing how people believe everything without knowing the story behind it.
I turned my attention to the boys who didn't even taste the drink in their hands.
"Drink up guys! I gave them for you drink, not stare at it till it evaporates. Come on it will ease your tension." the leader started drinking-probably agreeing internally- as the others followed suit. Eventually they relaxed a bit and sat back on the couch.
A few moments later Min-seong's phone chimed.
"The car is here. Shall we go Noona?" he informed while putting the phone back into his pocket as he stood up.
I nodded and got up as well and fixed my outfit while one of my men collected the empty glasses from us.
I extended my hand to Beom who seemed to be entering dreamland. His eyelids barely opened as he absentmindedly took my hand and got up.
We walked outside with Min-seong and Bangtan closely following us. I stepped onto the stony road where my black range-rover stood, at a distance. A familiar face came out of the driver's seat with a cheerful smile.
Hey....I recognize that smile. That's when I realized who it was. What a day! I'm meeting so many people from my past. And at the right time.
"Skyler! Oh my god! What a pleasant surprise!" I cheered and went in for a gentle hug. He returned the hug happily and patted my back.
Skyler was one of the first fighters on my gang. A few years ago -maybe three years- I found out he had a family. It would be dangerous raising a child in this kind of environment. So he left to give his daughter a healthy life.
A small figure hid behind Skyler, tugging on his blazer with her grubby hands.
"Oh hello there! How are you doing sweetie!" I asked the little toddler who was an infant when I last saw her.
