Part 16

-Rob-

Later that week we had to work again. It is Thursday. This week Jesse and I got really intimate with eachother. It wasn't perfect, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It really made me realize that he is probably the love of my life. Just the fact that he opened up just for me. That is incredible. We saw eachother via facetime because of work. We're still a secret to the world so no one could see us together right now.

Today is work again. Our shifts are the same time which means we see eachother again today. Yesterday we had a few hours together at work. I pack my lunch and take my bag with me. I jump on my bike and cycle to the chamber. When I walk inside I look for Jesse but can't find him. He'll be here soon I guess. I walk inside the debate room and take place at my desk. I have an hour until the debate starts so I start working on my laptop and preparing some statements.

A few hours later and the debate is getting on. It's about a fault that we made as the parliament against a lot of innocent families in the country. In the meantime Jesse arrived at the chamber. Colleagues are screaming at eachother about the subject. The debate ends a few minutes later and our prime minister walks to the microphone. "Thank you all for participating in the debate today" he says. "And before you go, I want to see Mister Klaver and Mister Jetten inside my office in half an hour. Thank you" he walks away. Jesse and I look confused at eachother.

"What do you think he wants to talk about?" Jesse asks me while we walk the hallways to Mark's office. "I don't know... Maybe he wants us to do something for him?" We mumble a bit before we get to his office. Jesse knocks on the wooden door and not long after, the prime minister opens. "Good afternoon gentlemen" he steps aside and we both get in his office. I'm a bit nervous. "Good afternoon" we both say. "Take a seat" we both take a seat at the two wooden chairs in front of his desk. What does he want to talk about..

"So.." he folds his hands together. "Where do I begin" he sighs. "First.. do you have any idea why you had to come here?" He asks us. We both shake our heads. "No we don't". He scratches his neck like he is stressed. "I will just say it to you" "You guys where spotted sharing a kiss next to Rob's office and it is on the security cams" My heart starts pounding and I look to the ground. He turns around a tablet with the video on it. I see Jesse and I kiss eachother and he walks away and I shut my office door. Then it hits me.

"I don't want to go!" I whine. I'm in my office. Jesse is sitting on my desk and I stand in front of him. We shared a few kisses. "You have to" I kiss his nose. "We will see eachother okay?" Jesse gives me puppy eyes. "Alright..." he shoves himself off of my desk and his arms wrap around my waist. We hug. I walk him to my door and open it. We step outside. He quickly looks around if no one is watching and he presses his lips on mine. It is a loving kiss. I let go. "Bye" I whisper. He walks down the hallway and I go back in to my office.

"Can one of you tell me why that happend?" I look at Jesse. His jaw is tensed. "Jesse?" Mark looks at him with his eyebrows raised. "W-well uhm.. We uhm.." Mark interrups him. "Are you in a relationship with eachother?" He breaks the ice. It's silent for a second. "Y-yes we are" I answer softly. I pull at the skin on my hands. Marks sighs loud and stands op. He starts walking circles through his office. He then plops back on his chair. "I can give you two options" he starts. "You guys keep it secret and still work together in the parliament. Bút if I caught you once again, you both loose your job.." My hearts pounds like crazy.

"If you decide to open up and make it public, I am willing to ask one of you to find another job.." Mark looks at us seriously. "Think about that. I really want the best for you, and I love it for you two that you have found eachother, but you have to realize that I also have to think about the consequences. You are colleagues. And not just that, you work for the whole country. So think about what I said. Now you can go. Have a nice early weekend" he says. "Thank you Mark" I look at him thankfully.

"Wanna come with me to my place?" I ask Jesse. He nodds. "Yeah" we walk through he hallways to our bikes outside. We bike in silence to my place. It has been a while since he stayed at mine. I open the door and we walk inside. I take off my jacket and shoes and walk towards the kitchen. "What do you want to eat? I have some leftover rice with fungi's and broccoli?" I look at Jesse who planted his ass on the couch. "Yeah that sounds good" I prepare two plates and walk towards the livingroom. I hand him a plate and plop next to him.

"We should talk Rob..." Jesse looks seriously at me. "I know" I say with a big sigh...
