It was now the next day, I was making my way to Goodness class because I got in trouble again cause I was late again. Also the Vks have Goodness class now so... this makes things more interesting.
I knocked on the door of the class and heard a 'come in' so entered the room. In the room I saw the Vks, sitting at tables, looking at me and Fairy Godmother at the front of the class.
"Hi, Fairy Godmother. Ben said you could use some help," I lied with a (fake) cheerful smile, causing Fairy Godmother to give me a stern look and my smiled faded, slowly, "Or maybe because Mr. Simon sent me here because I was late again."
Fairy Godmother sighed as the Vks snickered, "Bryce, this is the fourth time this week."
"I'm sorry I overslept," I told her.
Fairy Godmother shook her head, "You can sit in between Mal and Evie." I nodded and sat in between Evie and Mal.
"So, you're like a troublemaker?" Mal asked me, quietly.
"Yeah," I nodded, "Me and my best friend, Ethan would get in trouble all time."
"But I thought since you're a prince, you're supposed to act like one?" Evie cuts in.
"I mean... just because I'm a prince doesn't mean I have to act like one," I told the two girls.
Mal chuckled, "I like you already."
"Thanks," I told her before we heard someone clearing their throat. We all looked up to see Fairy Godmother looking at us.
"Pay attention, please," Fairy Godmother said, politely. We all nodded as Fairy Godmother continued the class. I was pretty much zoned out for the rest of the class until I snapped out of thoughts when I heard the door open. I looked over and saw Jane, walking in.
When Jane walked past the VKs, she squealed.
"Hello dear one," Fairy Godmother greeted her daughter.
"Hi," Jane whispered, "You need to sign off an early dismissal for the coronation," Jane whispered, giving Fairy Godmother the clipboard while looking at the VKs with a terrified look.
"Everyone here remember my daughter, Jane," Fairy Godmother said as she gives her daughter the clipboard.
"Mom, no," Jane hissed at her mom.
"It's okay. Jane, this is everyone,'' Fairy Godmother said, pushing her daughter forward.
"Hi," Jane said to the Vks, "That's okay, don't mind me, as you were," she said when no one replied, she waved at me and I waved back with a, what I hope looks like an encouraging smile before she quickly ran out of the room.
Fairy Godmother cleared her throat, "Let's continue," she backs to the board, "You find a vial of poison, do you..." she asked, "A) put it in the king's wine," Evie started raising her hand slowly, "B) paint it on an apple," Evie laughed at that, "or C) turn it over to the proper authorities?"
Jay, Evie, and Carlos' hand shot up. Jay pulled Carlos' hand down.
"Jay?" Fairy Godmother said, pointing at him.
"C) you turn it over to the proper authorities," Jay answered as he let go of Carlos' hand.
"I was gonna say that!" Carlos told Jay.
"Oh, but I said it first," Jay said in a baby voice. Then before I knew it, Carlos and Jay started wrestling on the table. I tried so hard not to burst out laughing.
Fairy Godmother hit the pointer stick on the podium several times, "Boys! Boys!" She said loudly to get their attention. Once she finally got their attention, "I am going to encourage you to use that energy on the tourney field," Fairy Godmother pointed to the field outside.
"Oh, no that's okay," Carlos said as he and Jay went back to their seats, "Whatever that is, we'll-we'll pass."
