72 HOURS PRIOR

" What do they think of themselves, bastards " Jennie exclaimed with absolute disgust spiraling her words. "Money is a powerful weapon, Jennie darling " Taehyung said with a lollipop between his teeth leaning comfortably against the wall. Jennie just couldn't control her rant she went on cursing those officials that barged in on a bright Sunday just to announce that they have to live with their lives being endangered with the harmful and potent chemicals released to the water body which they rely for daily and there is nothing they can do to help them ..quoting them "This company is the future".

"Future, my ass. Wish I could do something" Namjoon hissed.

"Then do it, do something.." Taehyung said

"What is that we can do?? They are powerful Taehyung and we are helpless.. its a fact that we have to make peace with " Namjoon said the last part under his breath. There followed a silence which was soon broken by Tae "I have a plan, actually three "

"We are not gonna kill or kidnap them " Namjoon stated

"Then I have one plan" Tae continued

Namjoon and Jennie shook their head in disappointment, well they weren't surprised

"Guys, I am positive this will work..but it's dangerous."Jennie and Namjoon was honestly not in the mood to hear an impossible plan but then it's not like it costs money to listen.

"Are u planning to say it, or there is some special occasion that you are waiting for?" Jennie asked in mere annoyance

"Well, we can hack into their company's official website and demand them to do something about this issue " Tae looked at them with expectations, he threw his lollipop halfway which he doesn't do on a normal day but today he has to put his best convincing speech and not even his favorite lollipop can come in his way.

"Guys we made our way to the most prestigious university with not much tutoring, we can sure hack their systems. This is our chance to make a difference. It's now or like well never." Even though he wanted to give an inspiring speech that makes them give in right there ..it wasn't his great suit unlike Namjoon ..nevertheless, he tried.

"That company worth millions, Tae..their website will be impossible to hack" Jennie said

"The people I became friends with were confident than this..." Taehyung said in a pointed tone

"It's dangerous Tae, hacking their official website will make them lose tons of money and if we are to keep it hacked they will lose clients as well. This company is primarily based on online transactions. They won't take it lightly, if we are caught we will be screwed ...and it won't be just us at risks but our families too" Namjoon whispered the last part but Tae still heard it.

"Oh.." Tae let out slowly, his face hanging low." I will be going now, it's almost time my shift starts now I wouldn't want to get fired now, would I ?" Tae chuckled softly putting his backpack turning around walking in the opposite direction.

Namjoon tried forming a sentence to stop Taehyung but didn't know what to say, hurting Tae was never his intention. Jennie patted his shoulders and mouthed "give him some time" and started walking towards her house. Namjoon stood there a little while regretting what he said and thought he should apologize first thing in the morning.

Tae lost his parents in an accident when he was nine, since then he grew up in with his grandparents. He was their only child and didn't have many relatives except for an Uncle who used to visit him monthly at the beginning but gradually the visits became shorter. Well, Tae never blamed him, he had his own family and priorities change.

When Tae turned 18 he inherited the house, nothing fancy just an old house and some savings it supported him enough but not to get him admission to one of the most esteemed and luxurious institutions. He worked day and night to get into his dream institution it was his passion and being honest that's what connected Namjoon, Jennie, and Tae so much. They met each other at high school, they clicked real fast. None of them were from a wealthy background, being extremely good at coding and stuff naturally made them a little special from other students, and yeah well they didn't quite seem to fit in.

This dream of learning coding from the best of best is what connected them, there were hardly eleven scholarships provided and without scholarship that place was gonna remain a dream, they knew that well enough.

Jennie's House

"Here comes your daughter, finally remembered that she has a family"Jennie's mother yelled with a handful of clothes in her hands. Probably, on her way to do laundry. Jennie knew the scolding has only begun, she sat next to her dad in the dining area waiting for her mother to vent all her anger. She has grown used to it.

"Wae... Now that you got admission to such an expensive university..you don't seem to like us. In a week you will be all alone in a new city, you are going to forget us within a week. Well JUST SO YOU KNOW WE ARE ALSO GONNA  FORGET YOU AND I AM NOT PLANNING TO CALL YOU EVERY DAY AT NINE "  Her little brother who was also sitting by the table presumably doing his homework started grinning at the said statement.

Jennie loved her family dearly, they supported her in dreams. She knew her mother was masking her immense care with words of anger, she was emotional that Jennie is leaving. She knew it is for a brighter future but couldn't help missing her already. Jennie silently walked to the kitchen and opened one of the containers, her stomach was growling so bad. Her mother had made her favorite dish(Kimchi jjigae), it soon brought a smile to her face.

" The Kangs next door are moving,  I heard" Jenni's father said with a sigh. Answering the questioning look on Jenni's face he continued " They said they can't live with such risk. I guess they are right we might also think about moving."

"Moving, we don't have much savings, we built this house with all that we had..leaving all this behind and starting from scratch would be terribly hard" Jennie's mother let out at a stretch.

"Let's have some dinner,  I am starving" her father said. He slowly went and whispered something in his mother's ears. "Eat well, this might be your last delicious meal..when you go there you are gonna understand how wonderful a cook I was" Jennie's mother snickered. Jennie didn't have to hear what his father said she knew he would have said something like let's not worry the kids.

It saddened her more, seeing your parents like this, not able to do anything, the helplessness it was creeping her insides out. Maybe Tae was right, she thought. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Personally, I don't like the way I write, but I like to write so I do it anyways...Hope you guys are able to connect with the characters. I have a feeling that I am exaggerating a bit, if you feel so feel free to say so...constructive criticism will always be appreciated.

So I am planning with one more chap we will be back to the present time...hopefully:))

if(you guys like it == TRUE)
