Dicks POV
Juvie was awful, the food was bland and uncooked or overcooked no in between. i got beat up twice, both times were for being short. like i can even control that.
escaping was easy because nobody suspected anything of me. when we got our one hour of open window time i slipped out easily. i ran for a day hiding out in a forest knowing people would be after me, i just wanted to see Rat.
i knew where he lived, so after a day of walking i came across his house and figured out a way to climb to his window. it was hard because i'm not really strong but it was for love so i managed. i tapped the window and he looked surprised and shocked and little bit scared seeing me.
after he let me in we talked for a while and ended up falling asleep next to each other. i had never been more happy especially after leaving that horrendous place.
but when we awoke, i was found by Rats mom, uh oh
Rat tried to sing her a song to sway her but his beautiful voice wasn't enough and he ended up getting kicked out. she was sending the police on our trail. Evan grabbed a backpack from his closet and filled it with clothes and he jumped out his winder making a run for it.
we weren't really trying to hide so that's probably why after fifteen minutes of walking cause our lungs got tired of running, the police came and stopped us.
we began running again but they were in a car so it was no use, i knew they were going to take me away but i didn't want to bring Rat into this mess. Rat clearly had another idea because the second the police got out of the car, Rat picked up a stick on the side of the road and began chasing the officers with it trying to hit them in the head.
of course they just tasered him and he fell to the ground crying. they arrested us both and put us in the back of the car. i gave him a weak smile knowing the mess we were going into.
Rat whispered to me "i did that on purpose, if your go to juvie so will i" with a smirk.
i smiled at him, wow i love him. he's giving up his freedom for me.
