Prologue.
Bridgette's P.O.V
Everything in life begins with a story line. The story line is the detailed description of something that has happened or will happen. Your life is like a story line except, you can't find the detailed description of it.
In your life, you're born, you grow, and you learn about the world. You meet new people, you fall in love, and you live happily ever after. This is how most people imagine their story line- very simple and very easy. I know I imagined mine to turn out that way, that was until I realized how life actually worked.
Finding out how the real world worked, I never could understand how people can smile all day long but cry themselves to sleep at night. How can a picture never change but the person in it can? How can your best friend become your worst enemy, or how can your worst enemy become your best friend? How can you let go of something you once said you could never live without? How can the people who once wanted to spend every second of their time with you, think a few minutes is too much to spare? How can people can erase you from their lives just because they think it's easier than working things out? What makes me the most confused of all is why do people make promises despite knowing how common it is for promises to be broken?

"How many times do I have to tell you you're wrong?" He asked me once again, I looked down at the disheveled ends of my hair and started to play with them. A tiny smile crept upon my lips as I slowly started to look up at his beautiful face, his hair not touched, and lay flat on his head. His eyes looked exhausted, making it seem like he hasn't gotten any sleep for days, I parted my lips slightly and took a small breathe of air.
"As many times at it takes for you to believe I'm right." I spoke breathlessly and walked away from him to my bedroom in my tiny flat.
"What I can't understand is why you're so hard headed and won't listen to me." He called from behind me, following me around like a lost child. I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around to look at him.
"Hard headed?!" I shouted, "you're joking right?" I laughed breathlessly and shook my head slowly eyeing him up and down.
"Does it look like I'm joking, Bridgette?" He sighed out of annoyance, I rolled my eyes and let out a shaky sigh. I walked over to the chair in my bedroom next to the window and sat in it with a thud. I put my elbows on my knees and my head in my hands.
"I honestly don't even know, Lou." I said with another sigh, "what was even your question that your claiming you're right about?"
"It wasn't a question, it was a statement." He replied, he walked closer to me and bent down to look at my face. He let out a sigh and smiled slightly, "The statement was, that you-"
"BRIDGETTE!" Someone called from my front door, letting their self into my flat. I jumped up and ran past Louis and into my hallway leading to my living room. My socks slid against the wood floors making the side of my shoulder hit the stone wall next to my kitchen. I stopped in my tracks and faced the boy who had started my heartache, the drama, the mess, how had started everything; Harry.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" I shouted to him, all his attention was focused on me as he stomped his way over to where I was stood. Louis came running to my side from my hallway I shut my eyes. I suddenly became white knuckled due to fear of the outcome of Louis and Harry.
"What the hell is he doing here?!" Harry shouted back, pointing at the boy who stood next to me; who's hand was gripping the side of my shoulder and pulling it towards his tense body.
"I can ask the same thing." Louis spat back at his best mate, his grip on me never loosening and his facial expression never changing.
"Well I was worried about her, after she wasn't taking my calls, but now, I can see why." Harry harshly responded, his eyes moving from my figure to Louis'.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" I shouted, breaking from Louis' grip on me to walk up closer to face Harry.
"I don't know Bri, what do I mean?" Harry mocked me, I rolled my eyes and walked into my kitchen completely ignoring his presence.
"Harry, you really should go." I mumbled and let against the granite counter top, all of my weight being supported by my arms.
"Oh, right. I'm so sorry for interrupting, love. Call me back later?" Harry mocked me again in a childish voice. I walked back over to the two boys standing in my living area, and laughed with no emotion.
"Fuck you." I mumbled to Harry, walking closer to his face.
"You'd like that would you." Harry grunted back to me, smirking too piss me off.
"Please." I spat back, clenching my fights tight again. "You're a nightmare on legs. You think anyone would want to fuck you?"
"I'm Harry Styles." He spoke to me with amusement, "everyone wants to fuck me." I rolled my eyes and walked closer to him.
"I bet your confidence could break just as fast as it built up." I whispered, breaking our eye contact and focusing it towards Louis.
"I bet your boyfriend's nose could bleed just as fast as my confidence breaking." Harry spat at me, little drops of his spit from his mouth brushed onto my eyelashes.
Before I could get any closer to the both of them, Harry had already knocked Louis straight in the nose, making it bleed and my insides rage. Louis was quick to put his fist into Harry's cheekbone, making his head jerk to the side. This made the situation worse than it already was, and the risk of unconsciousness rise higher.
My light colored wooden floors suddenly changed into a red tint due to the horrible fight taking place in my living room. While more punches were being thrown, I was contemplating on how to put an end to the madness.
"Stop it!" I shouted at the two, noticing how this did nothing, I walked closer.
"I said stop!" I shouted again beginning to grab Harry by his shirt while he was on top of Louis pounding his face in. It took two hard tugs for me to pull him off of Louis. Once I got him off, Harry's fists were still battering hard in the air. It took all my strength to pull him away from the fight and to my front door. His boots were dragging against my floors, causing a high screech noise to fill the flat. I shoved him into the wall next to my front door and looked into his eyes once more before throwing him out.
"Fuck you, Styles." I spat at him, "and not the way you'd desire." I threw him out, slamming my front door hard and loud. I felt a drop of sweat begin to roll down my cheek, and let out an exhausted sigh. This is not what I wanted my 'happily ever after' to begin.
I rushed to Louis from my front door, my socks almost causing me to fall in the process. I saw what looked to be a lifeless body and knelt down beside it, letting out another shaky sigh.
"Lou." I croaked out, my trembling hands barely touching his face that was covered in blood. The only things that I could make out were his beautiful blue eyes, while mine began to fill with tears.
"Are you o-okay?" I stuttered out, my breathe getting stuck in my throat. He smiled slightly and wiped the blood under his nose with his jacket sleeve, causing the once blue fabric turn into a deep crimson.
"I'm okay." Louis whispered, bringing his hand to my cheek that was stained with tears.
"Hey, hey." He whispered again, wiping a tear again, "I'll be fine." He managed to squeeze out a laugh, "I am fine." He paused his sentence to let out a painful moan accompanied with another smile.
"It seems to me that I'm right." He spoke, this time not a whisper. I looked down at the injured boy with a very confused look on my face.
"About what?" I whispered to him, while I question him inside of my head.
Louis smiled again and slowly moved his hand to the back of my neck, making me smile lightly. The questions in my head suddenly disappeared as my eyes became absorbed into his.
"You love me, don't you?" He whispered to me, making the smile that once played on my lips, disappear in an instant.
