Hana looked at me and seemed worried. "What's with that scary face Joshu.." "Are you alright?.." "Yeah.." We all walked down the dark path of the basement until halted by a wooden dungeon looking door. I opened the door and stepped inside. The room was rectangular and looked basically like a dungeon or a throne room. Maybe both. There were torches that gave off decent light so we could see fairly. I spotted something shiny down the path of the dark blue carpet along the cobblestone ground. It was a golden chest. It was locked. Me and my friends decided to search the room for the key to the chest. After a little while, Hana found the key to the golden chest. Apparently the key was behind a shelf smothered by dusty books. She handed me the key and i unlocked the chest. The chest contained a paper. It read "Death with a scythe come by night, power up you need, to put up a fight. Go where darkness rises in the 3rd floor, and knock bravely... on deaths door..."
"Well we have to do something on the third floor." "Probably another killer." I thought to myself about the fact that we only had one more use for the Sword of Akuma left. I was going to make sure it counted. "Let's get going then." "I feel like we should rest and call it a day." "Yeah." "Same here. Lets head to the living room and just plan for tomorrow." After that we all left the basement and headed back to the first floor. We all sat in the living room on some tan colored couches. I sat next to Hana. Ran and Mashu sat on one together. Kentoreru sat by himself with all of us surrounding a lantern on the floor. Kentoreru began to lead the 'meeting'. "We should call it a day and go to sleep and then search for another power up in the morning. We need more than just the sword of Akuma to survive since we dont know how many killers there are." I nodded and everyone else did the same. "Alright thats all." "Im off to bed." "Yeah same. Im tired." Everyone went upstairs and into their bedrooms. Ran laid in bed and began thinking to himself. He raised his hand to the ceiling. He blinked and his fingers were gone. Ran blinked again but halfway through it his head was off his shoulders. Blood splattered all across the room drenching nearly everything. I woke up next morning and had a slight headache. I yawned and got out of bed. I stepped out of my room and saw everyone else's doors were already open. Except Ran's bedroom door. I walked over to his door and knocked. No response. I knocked a few more times until i got annoyed thinking he was in a deep sleep. I busted down the door and immediately regretted it. Ran's bloodied corpse was on his bed with his head rolled out on the floor. His blood was splattered everywhere as if the room went through a failed paint job of some sort. My mind couldn't take this image and except it. I began to panic. I screamed and cried at the sight of one of my best friends headless corpse. Kentoreru ran upstairs to see me panicking and immediately got the picture. Everyone else came upstairs to see Ran's lifeless body on the floor, along with blood smeared covering his bed and the floor and the ceiling. I slowly managed to calm myself down and think. Could i go back in time right now? Can i save my friend? Can I stop this from happening? Then suddenly, someone began talking inside my own mind. "You can't save him..It's too late!" The voice sounded just like the mastermind's voice. Right after i heard that voice, the TV came on downstairs. I ran down the stairs to hear what the bastard had to say. "Boo Hoo...Looks like one if you are down for good! Now just 4 left! Lets see who survives the bloodbath!". I didn't know which emotion to let take control of me first. Anger perhaps? Sadness? Or to just give it up and let the mad man have his fun with us as his disposable play things. I dropped to my knees feeling hopeless at this point. Hana said my name but all i could hear were my own thoughts of negativity. Kentoreru on the other hand managed to pull himself together and construct our one and only goal now. "We need to get the Key of Chronos other two parts.." "And we also need a new power-up.."
We sat in silence after he said that. Mashu gritted his teeth and began yelling. "So we're just gonna leave our friends dead body there!?" "Huh!? Our best friend-" Kentoreru interrupted with "ITS NOT LIKE WE COULD BURRY HIM ANYWAYS!" Mashu looked down at the floor in a miserable silence. Everyone became quiet again. The room felt desolate. Hana finally began to say something "Is everyone okay?.." "Yeah" Kentoreru responded. He then questioned me. "Joshu..where were you last night?" I didn't respond. Hana said my name. I didn't respond. Hana looked at my face and saw my internal despair. Kentoreru repeated his question. "Hey..i said where were you last night.." "My..room..." Kentoreru started to believe there could be a traitor among the group. He questioned me again. This time more directly "Joshu are you a..traitor?.." I felt a burning rage twist my entire body inside out and snapped at him. "Hell no i would NEVER kill my friends or betray them!" "Is that so.." Mashu then intervened our conversation with "Why can't you go back in time all of a sudden!" Kentoreru adds "You also seem to know everything before it happens. Yes i know you have the ability to go back in time but we can't see that so its only logical for us to suspect you." I was disappointed in my 'friends' for what they allowed to come from their mouths. "Really?.." "This is how very little you guys trust me?" "I thought we were gonna make it outta here all together but now your against me?" Kentoreru told Mashu to restrain me with him...
