I regained consciousness. I had apparently been knocked out by Kentoreru and Mashu. It appeared that i was moved to the basement. I couldn't move all too well as my arms and hands were tied behind my back on one of the stone pillars. "What the hell is this!?" I shouted. "Oh your awake now, good. So Joshu is there anyway you can prove you're not a traitor?" I thought hard about it and came to one conclusion. "Kill me." Everyone looked at me in shock. "If you kill me i can go back in time." "Oh i see. You want me to give you a verification code of some sort?" "Yeah." "Mashu go grab a knife from the kitchen." Hana stood in the corner looking scared and then finally spoke up "What do guys think your doing!?"
"What do you mean Hana, you heard the man.." Mashu stepped out and returned from the kitchen with a knife. Kentoreru walked closer to me and began speaking. "There's one word i've been saying in my head this entire time. It's the word trust. Go back in time and tell me that, and i might believe you." "Alright do it already.." "I'll prove it to you all!" Kentoreru closed his eyes and his hands shook. He took the knife and attempted to stab me but stopped right before impact. He began to tear up. "Forgive me..." "Yeah.." He stabbed me and i went back in time. This time i saw the hourglasses again. I chose the one closest to the present event. Back in the present i was back at the part when Kentoreru was about to tell me the verification code. I stopped him right before he could say it. "Kentoreru. It's trust!" He scratched his head with confusion. "That's correct. But for all we know you could be reading minds. No way to prove it though for sure." "Kentoreru he said the code! Let him go now!" "Alright alright Hana. Mashu untie Joshu. " Mashu went behind me and released me. My wrist were sore. I must've been there for quite a while i thought. "We'll just have to believe you for now Joshu." "Thank you." After that incident we all became rather distant. I tried to keep to myself because i didn't want to make things worse or be around them since they don't trust me. Hana was the only one who never stopped trusting me though. She tried to constantly keep everyone together. I felt pretty about it but what could i do? I couldn't change their minds. I can't exactly blame them either. A few days passed and Kentoreru found a power-up in the storage room. He obtained the 'Omni Eyes'. The mastermind spoke to us about it and told us it's abilities. "Simply put, your friend Kentoreru here can use his omni eyes to see in the dark. Through walls and the minds of people. But remember, each power-up only has three uses!" The mastermind left the TV. We all waited for Kentoreru to speak on what he obtained. "Well my new eyes can really settle one thing once and for all." "What do mean Kentoreru?" Hana asked. Kentoreru looked at me and his eyes turned green and glowed. "Joshu. Im so sorry.." "I won't doubt you any longer friend." "You bastard.." "Im gonna need a bigger apology than that shit for what i had to put up with." I said what i said but didn't really care as much as i sound like did. I was more focused on something else. The 'Key of Chrono'. "Kentoreru lets go to the third floor now. I don't want to waste any time." "Yeah. Get the Sword of Akuma and let's go." Fast-forward and we were on the stairs to the third floor. We stopped right before going to activate our power-ups. I led the way. Kentoreru scouted around for the killer and spotted him. "He's over here, Joshu!" I tuned to where Kentoreru was pointing and swung the flames on the sword at the killer through the wall. The wall crumbled and the killer was on fire. He didn't even react to it. He stood up and dashed at me with his scythe. Our weapons clashed and i got kicked in the stomach then blasted with black and purple flames. I felt my flesh being eaten away buy the heat and heal at the same time. I had to tough the pain out. I got up and swung at the killer but he blocked again. As we were clashing i headbutted him with the horn i had in his heart and charged him through a wall. I detached my horn from his heart and then beheaded him. I was mad at myself. Why had i felt nothing from taking his life? Had i become numb to this life? I wasn't sure. One side of me felt like i was supposed to mad at myself and crying for losing my humanity. The other side of me felt nothing. It was all just part of some job or something. Just to survive. I got up and sheathed the sword. The sword then shattered into tiny particles. I had used all three of its uses. "Lets go.." "Yeah.." We all walked down the dark hallway until we saw a small round wooden table with a lit candle on top of it. There was a red gem next to the candle with a gold piece implanted into it. Kentoreru's face changed. "Hey. This might be the red gem in the note! The ruby!" Kentoreru said with hope weaving itself in. "If it is that'd be really nice." Mashu said. "Let's go back downstairs to the 2nd floor and go to your bedroom Kentoreru. Let's make sure." "Alright then." We all made our way to Kentoreru's bedroom to test out the theory. Kentoreru took the golden rod off his desk and put the ruby together with it. "Thank goodness!" "Thank you!" "Now we just need one more piece for the key." It felt like we had already searched the entire mansion now. So where could it be? I thought to myself and couldn't come up with an answer.....The mastermind sat in his throne and rotated a coin on his fingertip and thought to himself "Now let's make things get interesting!" He laughed...
