"You get to be a figure head of the Esempi and receive more freedom than these four walls but you can only visit L'manberg and only with me or a member of the royal advisers." Dream offered as he paced the floor of the cell
"N-no I would never betray L'manberg keep me prisoner for however long, but I will die before I betray my country." Nikki replied lifting her tired head to meet Dream's eyes
"What about Puffy? You....... love her, right?" Dream spat as Nikki gently nodded "if you don't become Queen then I'll have her publicly executed and force you too watch"
"You wouldn't." Nikki almost questioned
"Why not? She's been secretly meeting with the enemy, probably giving you information on the war. I think that's more than enough evidence with the ring as well it's a death sentence." Dream argued
"If I become Queen, Puffy will be safe and the war will stop?" Nikki clarified
"Yes unless your stupid l'manchildberg friends decide to start another war but other than that yes." Dream replied

"I'm boreddddddddd" Tommy whined as he threw his legs onto the large meeting rooms table and Wilbur paused his pacing to glare at the young boy. "Sorry, sorry" Tommy laughed holding his hands up in surrender
"Sorry we're late Will, just filing away the last of our independence paper work so we're now officially and legally an almost free country. Just waiting for the last meeting then we'll be good" Fundy smiled as he walked in followed closely by Eret and Quackity.
They all sat down smiling but they where quickly gone when they saw their leader's distressed face, clearly unbothered by the news as the man continued to pace behind his seat. Quackity was about to ask what was wrong when Captain Puffy burst in dragging a Tubbo by the collar of his green shirt.

"Next time you have news about Nikki I want to know in person and not via a kid." Puffy told them angrily, everyone knew her opinions on Tommy and Tubbo having such important and stressful jobs and let's just say they weren't good. Even though Puffy was officially a member of the Esempi she was often seen in the ports of L'manberg and in Nikki's bakery, treating everyone with respect and kindness even Tommy and Tubbo loved her company feeling like they could be themselves around her without being judged.
Wilbur paused his pacing as Tubbo scurried to his chair opposite Tommy's and looked Puffy in the eyes "I'm sorry Puffy but I was busy thinking of plans to save her instead of considering your feelings" Wilbur snapped at the woman
"Well what are your so very important ideas then?" Puffy replied back just as angry.
"I- I haven't got any yet but it doesn't make sense?" Wilbur stammered as he sighed taking his own seat and gesturing for Puffy to take a seat on one of the spare chairs at the opposing end of the table
"What doesn't make sense? Actually what's even going on?" Quackity asked the same question that was on everyone else's mind.
"Nikki has been captured by the Esempi specifically the Dream team. She is to become Queen in two days time and Puffy will most likely have a nice and hefty bounty in her head within the hour unless Nikki does some talking to get her out of it." Wilbur explains quickly looking at the faces of all those on his cabinet holding horrified expressions

"Why would Puffy have a bounty?" Tubbo asked turning to face the woman
"Because we can assume by now they've found Nikki's engagement ring" Puffy sighed
"Okay so what does that have to do with you?" Fundy asked confused before feeling Tommy kick him in the shins
"Their engaged you idiot" Tommy hissed not so quietly across the table
"What is Dream homophobic or somethin'?" Quackity asked turning to face Puffy
"From the way he and George act i would have to say no but let's just say he's made it very clear in the past about even talking to you guys outside of the war, he's pissed at me already because I have a boat in the port and especially when he found out I was engaged and wouldn't tell him who it was." Captain Puffy explained laughing at the thought of how Dream and George act
"How will he know that she's engaged to you though? Couldn't Nikki just lie?" Eret asked thinking of the almost obvious solution to their problem.
"No, Dreams probably already taken the ring as a form of leverage and it has my name inscribed on the underside." Puffy sighed hitting her hand on the desk in frustration "probably holding me over her as well"

"Hi Nikki! I haven't seen you in ages" Bad exclaims happily as he opens her cell, locking it behind himself and Sapnap stood outside waiting. Nikki opened her eyes exhausted, after her and Dreams conversation yesterday she had been left without food or water with her arms stretched out above her head in an uncomfortable position.
"I thought you might want a drink so I brought some milk and there's a nice warm bowl of soup upstairs at the table waiting for you!" Bad told her drawing out a key and unlocking her arms letting them fall next to her frail body but before Nikki could even try to move them Bad had grabbed her wrists and cuffed them muttering something about how Dream had said to do so. Bad then gently helped her off the ground and passed her the glass of milk which she accepted with a shaky hand and slowly drank it as Sapnap unlocked the cell door. They then began walking down a long corridor and up some stairs in a seeming maze of hallways and stairs with Bad and Sapnap either side of her only increasing her nerves especially when they stopped in front of a double door and began pushing it open.
Around a table sat Dream, George, Skeppy, Antfrost, Karl, Purpled and of course at the furthest end and sat next to Dream was a smiling and laughing Captain Puffy.
