Confessing (THH)

Makoto Naegi

"Makoto, do you need to go to the doctor?" This was probably the fifth time someone asked him today and it wasn't even lunchtime yet! It's not his fault he's nervous! Because of this Makoto was sweating and looked quite pale "Come on! Pull yourself together, Makoto! If you're this anxious now, how are you going to ask (Y/N) out?" He thought to himself.

In a moment of courage he texted you, asking to meet him after school today, mentioning that he had something important to tell you. You texted back, agreeing. "There! No coming back now!... Ah, maybe I should say I changed my mind? No, I can do this!" Yeah, this wasn't a good day for him.

You waited for Makoto patiently. Even though he's the one who asked you to meet up, he was late. Well, he did say it was serious, so maybe something happened? As you pulled out your phone to call him, you heard his voice call out to you.

"H-hey (Y/N)! How are you today? The weather is great isn't it?" He said in a nervous voice. You stated at him with a questioning look and replied "Uhm, yeah. It's great. Anyway, what did you want to talk about?"

Makoto pretty much froze. What if you don't like him, he ruins your friendship and you never talk to him again? "No, she wouldn't do that. I'm sure she'll understand. Plus there's no way I can know unless I ask her out"

He took a deep breath and started talking "(Y/N), you're the most amazing person I have met. You always encourage me and I really appreciate that. Even back in middle school I felt like you were special, but I could never gather enough courage to talk you, which I regretted later. Luckily, I was able to meet you again here, but there was a chance I never see you again, so I won't challenge my luck this time. (Y/N),... Would you like to be my girlfriend?"

You nodded eagerly and hugged him "I'd love to! I really like you too, Makoto!" He returned the hug and exhaled, sounding relieved "I'm glad."

Byakuya Togami

"Huh, weird. Why is the library empty?" It really was. Well, except for you and Byakuya. Even the librarian wasn't here. "Hey, where is everyone?" You asked Togami. He just shrugged. His attitude was definitely weird today; he was distracted and maybe even nervous.

He suddenly pulled out a small book and gave it to you "There. Read this one." You took it from his hands and looked at it; it was probably 10 to 15 pages maximum, (F/C) and seemed way different that what Byakuya usually recommends you. It had an... interesting title "The price and the idiotic peasant girl". You stared at him with a "Are you kidding me?"  expression, but decided to humour him nonetheless.

At the beginning of the story the prince bumped into a girl in the village. They got into an argument and it turned out she just wanted to return a piece of jewelry he dropped. After that they separated, but met again later in a local library... "This sounds familiar... What is he plotting?" You looked at Byakuya, but he didn't seem any different, so you kept reading. Of course, you couldn't see the way he nervously clutched his hands underneath the table.

As the story proceeded, the characters  became friends. At the last page the price asked the girl out. When you turned it over you realised that it was blank. Putting the book down, you tried to hide your obviously embarrassed face "What's with this story? Why does it end so suddenly?"

"Because... It's ending depends on you. So, what do you say - will you be my girlfriend?" You gaped at him, trying to ignore how hot your face felt "What's that supposed to mean? It this a prank?" Byakuya sighed and you could swear you saw him blush slightly "You know that I never joke. I really do like you. Why wouldn't I? You're nice, fun and understanding. Yes, you are sometimes a pain, but honestly - who isn't?"
