His family wanted to meet her to see who he was so happy about.

While Xavier was busy showing his family some things, his cousin wanted Amelia to show him the lake. Amelia was happy to show him, but couldn't wait for Xavier because it was going to get dark soon. They went on the dock to sit and he started to play around by splashing water on her and making her smile. He started to tell her how pretty she was and how lucky his cousin was to have her.
She actually liked that attention and forgot about Xavier for a mintue. She was having a moment with him because he was also cute, but then Xavier came and pushed them both in the water and jumped in after. They spent the rest of the day together laughing and playing because they were leaving the next day. She hoped to forget about his cousin.
The family made her feel like she fit in and they all told her good bye, including the awkward moment cousin, before they left. Amelia was happy to meet Hus family and he was happy she did. It was a good start for them.
