After Emira breaks the news, they decide to monitor the situation closely, but nothing can be done right now. So after they chat for a bit, the group separates. Emira and Elhad head back to Paintosphin before daybreak, while Mirielis and Syra set up a camp. That way, they are not seen coming back altogether.
Typherion is a member of Paintosphin; he is simply there because his cousin got him in. He causes trouble and tends to jeopardize missions, which cost the lives of countless people. However, the error of his ways is generally overlooked because of the high stature of his cousin Ismeridla, who is one of the second hands to King Percival.
"Syra, how have you not heard this news, normally you're on top of this sort of thing?" Mirielis questions.
"I have been following another, much more important lead. And until I had more information, it became my top priority." Syra says
"What is it?" Mirielis looks at Syra inquisitively.
"I'm not entirely sure yet, but I will tell you as soon as my latest intel gets back to me."
Mirielis nods, knowing that Syra generally doesn't like scaring people if she doesn't have to. They chat a little and make some dinner by the campfire, then head to sleep.
The next day they both head to Paintosphin.
Paintosphin Is a large colourful guild, and their biggest pride is their colourful murals and art. It's such a beauty, and no matter how many times you go into the guildhall, It's jaw-dropping beautiful with all the bright, vibrant colours.
Mirielis and Syra enter the hall, Emira and Elhad wave them over.
"Guys over here" - Emira yells happily.
They walk over and sit together. The air is a little sombre due to the subject of the meeting the night before. Then suddenly, there's a loud bang on the table that startles everyone awake.
"Why so glum chums, have some beer!"
They turn to see who was being so loud this early in the morning. Of course, it's Elianis, an early riser as always. Emira looks mildly annoyed.
"Elianis, I'm normally not up till noon. I don't need to be startled this early" Emira lies her head on the table.
Elhad grabs a beer "Beer this early, and it's 9 am."
"It's never too early, plus thought you guys could use a pick me up" Elianis sits and whispers, "so you all heard the news, right?"
They all nod in despair.
They all sit together for a nice breakfast. One of the biggest downfalls of Paintosphin, the food is not the greatest. Edible, but not very good.
A shady figure walks in, and Syra excuses herself from the table to sit with them.
"Is there a day where she isn't really suspicious" Elhad jests.
"Cheer to that," Mirielis laugh and cheer with Elhad
The mood lifts at the table as they laugh and fill their bellies with the mediocre food. The beer helps it go down.
Syra returns to the table.
"Guys, I picked us up a delivery quest for Flowersguild! It pays quite nicely."
"My rabbit would love a trip down there, plus it's a beautiful day, let's go. "Elhad gets up excited.
Everyone gets up and grabs their go bags for the quest Flowersguild is a few days walk away.
Emira reluctantly complies, "can't I have a nap first or maybe pick somewhere closer?"
Mirielis grabs her by the arm and drags her outside. "No way!"
They stroll along the path, laughing and making jokes. In the distance, you see some grass being mowed by about 50 rabbits, and Elhad is staring lovingly at his pets.
"Did you need to bring so many rabbits?" Elianis asks
"I only brought my favourites," Elhad retorts, quite insulted that she dare imply 50 rabbits is too many.
Elianis sighs and just laughs.
Eventually, they sit down for a picnic.
Emira puts her hand together and begins chanting in the old sorcerer language of Cerilion.
"Et etu magnifa mangea SEPHIRO"
A beautiful picnic of various for from the nature around them. Lettuce, tomatoes, grapes, you name it, and all kinds of vegetables were there. "Dig in," she smiles.
"No beef?" Syra retorts
"Only the beef I got with you," Emira replies, they laugh, and everyone begins eating.
The rabbits are full from their grazing earlier but have some room for some fresh kale.
"Okay, in all seriousness, this is why I brought us all out here. I got some intel on Typherion. I didn't want to say until I knew for sure. But I still don't know for sure yet. I can't keep this a secret." Syra says in a serious tone that brings everyone's attention to her. "I heard from some very reliable anonymous sources that before Typherion left for the kingdom to spend time away from Paintosphin, he sabotaged his previous missions, which got all of his allies seriously injured, incapacitated or killed. We have reason to believe he's working for his cousin up in Toolandia."
Everyone falls silent, and an air of anger and betrayal hovers over the group.
Mirielis breaks the silence. "We cannot let him get away with this, and we need to do something."
