After forgetting to close the blinds the night before, the hazy moonlight turned into bright and warm rays of sunshine, waking Harry up to the most precious sight he had ever seen. Louis was lying sideways on the bed, parallel to Harry on the couch, with both of his hands under his cheek, the light bedsheet was hiding most of Louis' small body but it was quite obvious how his knees were pulled close to his stomach, brown feathery pieces of hair scattered on the white pillowcase. Thin and pink lips parted while barely audible little breathes came out of them. Harry loved what was in front of him.
It was close to nine in the morning and Harry had to change into his scrubs and get to work, but how could he leave when he had such a masterpiece in front of him? He didn't divert his attention when Louis started to move around the bed and open his sky blue eyes. The boy must've forgotten Harry had stayed the night as when he saw him resting on the couch beside him with his gaze glued to him, he gasped out loud and cursed under his breath before sitting up straight and lazily running his hands over his face.
"Good morning, Louis," Harry greeted with a sleepy smile, his voice sounding raspy and deep
"Jesus, you scared me," Louis sighed, eyelids wanting to go back to sleep. "Good morning, Dr Styles,"
The man chuckled and rubbed one of his eyes before asking the boy, "Did you sleep okay?"
"I was gonna ask you the same thing," Louis answered as his head fell on the pillow once again but he quickly returned to his original position as he couldn't breathe properly, "How was the couch?"
"It was nice, very comfy," Harry said, patting the cushion besides him a few times before returning his gaze to Louis
They both stayed in complete silence, not quite knowing what to say next. Louis by the most part, though. He was still feeling anxious being around Harry, which the older man didn't seem to notice yet. Louis really wanted to start a conversation or to say literally anything at this point but his tounge and mind were being a litte too much of a coward for his liking.
"Oh, god. This is so embarrassing," the boy ended up mumbling, fingers fumbling with the collar of his shirt, his eyes glued to it
Harry let his head fall on his own shoulder and with a little out, he asked, "What is?"
"You having to see me this early in the morning, I look like a mess," Louis said, pointing at his messy brown hair just as he patted the top of his head. "My bedhead is not cute,"
"You look just fine," Harry replied, chuckling at mid sentence
"You have to say that, otherwise it would be kind of awkward," the boy
With a growl from the back of his throat, Harry shook his head and rolled his eyes playfully, "I promise you look alright,"
Louis was about to respond to Harry's 'compliment' when the door flew open, revealing a blue-eyed man staring at Harry with a very confused look. "Harry," the man said, small frown between his eyebrows, his lips parted in a straight line
"Niall," Harry said the same way, eyes wide and fingers tapping on his own thigh
"Uhm. Wha— You— Can I have a word with ya?" Horan said, opening the door and poiting to the hallway. Harry let out a sigh and told Louis he wouldn't take long as he closed the door after walking out the door. "The fuck are you doing here?" Niall asked, his eyes going from Louis through the small window to Harry in front of them. "Your shift is not on yet. Who's the boy in there? Did you even sleep? You look dead," he kept questioning until Harry started talking over him
"Oh my fucking god. I stayed the night with Louis. His mum wasn't here last night,"
"Who's Louis?" the brunette man questioned, his voice going high pitched as he looked back into the room to see the boy before Harry pulled him from the collar of his shirt
