As always, Lightning let me beat them to the perch, I would have let myself do my usual rant on why they shouldn't, but I guess it's a sweet thing for them to do for me. I do match them in speed, but they know the isle more then I do, so they definitely know short cuts. Even so, it's great fun to just run around with them. Now that we're at the perch we can see the whole isle. Although the perch and the area around is for Liora training, our generation was the last to use it, until the next generation it's used as a gathering spot for young packs.

I find myself staring towards the Tree once more, again feeling the need to look at it or it'll vanish completely. I guess that's the only way to describe it, a constant need to look towards the Tree or it will die. That both our lives were in the balance. It's clear that that is not the case, otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep, blink, live. But the pull is still there, deep down. I've never found myself looking towards the Tree when in times of need, it would almost be the last place my glaze would place itself. I'm too small of a soul to be pitied by the Tree enough to ease any physical or mental pain. It did nothing to help my siblings. Who could light up a room with just their smiles. Smiles which would often hide, so much pain.

Once again. Caught staring at the Tree. "You'd think your eyes were tied to the tree by magic at this point. Are you alright Firera? You've never stared at it this much." Lighting's words broke the little transe I found myself in. Looking back to them I found them only looking at me. Most times they too found their glaze on the tree apon when talking about this topic. But this time that wasn't the case. Their eyes were placed completely on me. Clear concern was all that could be found, the mirth of their words were drowned out by their worry. I slowly replaced the calm silence with my words, "I'm... Yeah, I'm alright. Just feeling little off today. It feels like... If I take my eyes off it, it'll just... Poof!" My wings brought "impact" to my 'poof' by quickly fluffing out.

Lighting tilted their head slightly still concerned. "'Poof'? That's an Amber kind of line... You sure you didn't hit your head during our race?" I chuckled lightly, shaking my head softly. "I'm sure, actually it was probably our fastest time-" I cut myself off when Lightning placed their wing to my shoulder. They took that time to speak, "Firera... Please, are you okay?" I didn't know what to say, I stared into Lightning's eyes wondering what answer I could give them to drop the topic. But I couldn't think of anything. Instead I shook my head. Lightning understood the movement and embraced me within their much larger wings. "You don't have to try and explain it, you've had a rough day. That's all I need to know." Lightning placed their head atop my own as they spoke.

My ears soon picked up on a sound that wasn't Lightning's breathing, making them pinch up and smack Lightning in the face. A small sneeze left their nose at the smack. Slowly looking towards the sound. I... Couldn't look at the sound as I was still embraced in Lightning's wings. I still heard the voice that came from the person who landed somewhere near us. "Well, I would ask what you're hiding. But since Firera isn't anywhere to be seen, I'm guessing they're in there." I wasn't quite familiar with the voice, but I could place it as one of Lightning's Bond Pack members. I was able to place a name to the voice when Lightning spoke again, "Dawn, funny seeing you here. You actually planning on doing some training? Or are you starting off another stream of messing?" I could hear a light chuckled huff from Dawn outside of my wing hideout.

I shuffled slightly so I could pop my head over the top of Lightning's wings, "Hi Dawn." Dawn only chuckled with a light wave of their wing as a greeting. They were always one of the shyer ones of Lightning's Bond Pack, something we had in common. Lightning slowly brought their wings from around me, making a light shiver run up my spine as the cool afternoon breeze was finally able to reach me. Trying not to look towards the Tree again I listened to the familiar sound of foot-fall, meaning that the rest of Lightning's Bond Pack must be at the training grounds also, since Dawn wouldn't be here alone. My eyes snapped back to our new company when Mint, replaced their half formed greeting with a question. "How- You alright Firera? Looks like the Pure Tree hasn't blessed your sleep in a while." I nodded lightly not wanting to worry those making their way up to the perch.

Once all four of the new comers came into view, I noticed a large grin placed on their faces. Yeah, Lightning was right, here to start a mess of trouble for the fun of it. Most likely wanting to drag Lightning into it, since they could always get the pack out of whatever real trouble they found themselves in. "Lily! Tell good old Lightning here the plan you came up with!" Mint's voice was back to the loud boom that it was usually set at. Making a smile come to my face when I realized how soft it was when it was laced with concern. I heard someone clear their throat, jumping up onto a small rock to bring more height to their form, "I, Water Lily, have come up with the most, stunning of plans! One that will cause great chaos and discussion for weeks! It is the most-" Autumn cut in with a quick comment, "We're going to build a sand structure down in the coastal part of the isle." Lily looked like a pup that someone had just killed a Deerdae in front of for the first time. Stuttering about wanting to say the plan, and most likely cursing at Autumn for taking that away from them. But it was hard to tell. Since they both bolted away. Lily chasing Autumn.

Everyone let out a chuckle at the two, Mint filling the silence after with their voice. "Well, you two wanna join us?" Lightning looked slowly to the sky then back to Mint, who seemed to understand the movement. "We won't stay out there too late, just to have a bit of fun before training tomorrow." I slowly brought myself out of Lightning's embrace fully. Looking back to them as I spoke. "I'll leave you to your mischief." Lightning got up quickly and countered softly, "Or you could join us, by the Pure Tree, you could use some time to relax a little after today." The other two who were still in our company nodded in agreement. Dawn speaking up in a hushed tone. "You could even invite your Bond Pack, make a day of it. Or night of it, at this rate." I thought about it for a moment, then slowly nodded my head in agreement. Much to everyone's delight.
