ix. circles

the sunlight shone from the windows of their home, spreading warmth against their entwined bodies on the comforts of their own bed.

it was a sunday and it was such a lovely morning to spend on the confines of their bed.

thirdy was first to wake up, feeling the light of the sun hitting his face perfectly. this made him scrunch his nose before slowly opening his eyes.

the sight that welcomed him was something that immediately brought a smile on his face, loving how the sunlight from behind her perfectly illuminated her features.

he propped himself on one elbow, all the while continuously staring at his wife's sleeping figure.

he couldn't help but bite his lip as he remembered how passionate the night before was.

if only i could.. he thought but shook his head.

he moved a hand to fix the hair covering the side of her face away, loving how it made her even more radiant in his eyes.

a few more minutes of him just staring at her, he saw her face scrunch up before she stretched and slowly opened her eyes- finding her husband staring straight at her with the biggest smile on his face.

she was taken by surprise at first but sighed before moving back to her previous position, facing him and giving him a small smile.

"why are you staring?" she asked carefully.

this made thirdy chuckle before moving closer and giving her a kiss on the temple, "just taking in my early morning doze of beatriz vitamins."

his reply made bea roll her eyes but with a smile growing evidently wider, "yeah, good morning."

thirdy feigned a hurt expression, "you don't believe me?"

bea just shook her head before closing her eyes again, "it's still too early, we should go back to sleep."

thirdy nodded although bea's eyes were closed and just pulled her closer, his hands on the small of her back to securely place himself around her.

they were about to fall asleep when...

"mommy, daddy!" two small voices suddenly brought them back to the real world to which they immediately wake up to.

as soon as they tried to sit up, two pairs of hands were all over their faces already.

"good morning!" the older of the two, thea, greeted and kissed her parents on the cheek.

meanwhile, the younger boy, brent, greeted them with even more kisses.

"good morning, our lovely babies.." bea said and held brent on top of her before moving to sit up while thirdy held thea on top of him.

"how did you two sleep?" thirdy asked, "did brent give you a hard time, ate thea?" 

thea shook her head, "daddy, brent's a good boy!"

this made the two of them smile. "how about you baby?" bea asked brent.

"good, mommy!" brent smiled which made bea ruffle his hair and then give him kisses, to which she also gave thea after.

thea giggled as bea gave her kisses. but before thirdy could attack them with different sets of kisses too, thea called her mom's attention.

"mommy?" her little voice called as bea fixed brent's onesie.

"yes, baby?" she answered their princess.

"why do you have circles on your neck?" she asked with her head tilted to the side slightly.

this made bea stop on her tracks, an action that did not go unnoticed by thirdy. this made the latter laugh quietly.

"i-- uh.." bea stuttered while looking anywhere, ransacking her brain for any answer.

sensing that bea's having a hard time answering, thirdy butted in.

"daddy played with mommy and drew circles on her neck, baby.." thirdy lied smoothly, something bea found relief in but glared at him altogether.

"ohh.. okay!" she replied cheerfully, "so we went here because we're hungry already. can we make breakfast now?"

bea snapped out of her glare before nodding and smiling, "of course, baby. you and brent go and sit at the table already, okay? mommy and daddy need to get ready first."

both kids were ecstatic at the prospect of eating breakfast that they immediately followed their mother's orders.

when they were outside, both thirdy and bea got out of their bed. bea headed towards their vanity and checked herself while fixing her hair.

the sight of her neck and chest being covered with a hell lot of hickeys made her eyes bulge. 

i didn't know he gave me this much! she thought.

she whipped her head towards his direction before glaring at him as he slowly approached her with a laugh, "what?"

"i told you not to put too much! and hide them!" she groaned.

this just made thirdy laugh louder, "but you look so pretty with them." he fake pouted.

"thirdy!" she warned, "you heard thea, even she asked about it!"

"we got away with it naman." he said as he wrapped his arms around her waist. hugging her from behind.

"yeah, because you lied." she rolled her eyes. thirdy just laughed.

he closed his eyes before giving her shoulder a soft kiss, "i love you."

this just made bea sigh before giving him a kiss on the cheek, "i love you, too."

she could feel thirdy smile wider, "kahit i give you more hickeys?"

bea slapped his arm slightly and rolled her eyes, "whatever."

thirdy's laugh resonated around their room, "definitely the luckiest in the world to have you, beatriz."

this made bea smile to herself, "me too, thirds. me too."
