This chapter is kind of long but I don't know if the other chapters will be as long.... Pls enjoy

I heard ringing, thinking to myself who in the world would call me this late at night. I looked at my red glowing clock on the nightstand next to me, it read 2:30. I turned on the lamp next to me and got my eyes to adjust to the bright light. I finally picked up the phone.
"Hello," I said into the phone. No response just harsh breathing, I could tell it was a man from the raspy sound of the breathing. "Hello," I repeated, still nothing. I hung up after a couple seconds. I decided to stay awake, for one I was a little freaked out about the call, I have been having them for weeks now, and second I had to get up early anyway to head to work at the hospital. So instead of going back in bed, I got up and walked to the bathroom, I turned on the shower. I watched water drip down the side of the wall. I closed the door and turned my music on to "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," by Whitney Houston. After about 5 minutes of being in the shower, I heard a chair slam to the ground, it sounded like a gun shot. I thought it was my dog Lucy at first, then I turned off the shower, all I could hear at first was the sound of water dripping off the shower head, but after a couple seconds I heard the door slam.
"Hello anyone there," I yelled, hoping not to get a response.
"Why hello there. Long time no see," said that raspy voice. I know I have heard it somewhere before. "Hello Becky," the voice said again, it then clicked where I have heard it, it was the raspy voice from the phone calls I have been receiving.
"Who are you and why are you here," I asked him. I got no response. For a few seconds though he kept trying to open the door. The door kept shaking like he was giving everything he had to open it. I thankfully locked it, but the door kept shaking more and more, I started to think would knock the door down. After a little bit it stopped, guess he gave up I told myself. I stayed in the bathroom for I don't know how long, it felt like forever just in case he was still out there, it felt like I was paralyzed to the floor I was to scared to move. After a while I calmed myself down and got myself to get up and unlocked the door and cracked it open a little. I put my head out the door and looked around to see if someone was there. I saw no one but Lucy sleeping on the couch snoring and barking in her sleep like always- I always say she's dreaming. I walked over to her as softly as I could in case, he was in the house I didn't want him to hear that I was out of the bathroom.
"You didn't see anything did you girl," I asked Lucy knowing I wouldn't get an answer from her. All she did was look up and stare at me. Her dark brown eyes sparkled from the bathroom light. Which seeing her calm made me calm down and finally be able to take a breathe. After sitting with Lucy for a little while I realized I still haven't put my clothes on so, I went back to my room and got dressed for work. I was still worried that he was still in the house so, every couple of minutes I would peak into the living room and check that no one was there. I looked back at my nightstand and checked the now dim light on my clock, it read 5:00 A.M. Finally, time to go to work surrounded by people I know and trust, it helped that I knew I wasn't going to be alone.
"Bye Lucy, keep the house safe while I'm gone."
Arriving to work about 30 minutes later, I walked into the hospital said hey to a few coworkers and got ready for the start of my shift. Then from a couple feet away, my name was being called out.
"Hey, Becky. Looks like someone has a secret boyfriend that she hasn't told her best friend about," said Molly pointing towards a vase of blooming flowers sitting next to her behind the counter.
"I don't have a boyfriend."
"Well then you have a secret admirer, any ideas who it might be?"
"I have an idea," I responded trying to make it look like I wasn't scared about who I knew it was. She handed me the flowers; they were my favorite- sunflowers. Attached to the vase is a note. I took it off and read it Thinking about you always, love Joseph. When I got done reading it, I crumpled it up and threw it in the trash and went on my way to check in, so I wasn't late.
About 6 hours into my shift, I went to my lunch break and grabbed my phone from my locker. I had 20 text messages, some from friends wanting to hang out, family checking in- since I didn't live near family they would check in and see how I am doing, and 5 of them from an unknown number. I ignored them. I went off to the rest of my day at work. On my way out of work the unknown number sent me another text, don't think you can get away from me that easily. I dropped my phone right there and started shaking. Molly saw me and came over to me.
"Becky are you ok, your shaking?"
"ummm, yeah, yeah I am fine," I said while I was staring at the phone on the floor, everything around me was spinning. I could not believe that I was going through this. "I just really need to talk to someone and your one of my closest friends," I insisted.
"Of course, let's sit down really quick. You look like you've seen a ghost."
I told Molly everything that has been going on, with the creepy text and phone calls, and how someone broke into the house. It took a little while to say everything mainly because I started crying in the middle of me telling it and had to take a few breaks.
"Oh, wow. That is a lot to take in, I wonder why this Joseph guy is doing this," she said.
"I don't know what I am going to do about it, I am scared to go to the police or anyone, I don't want him to hurt me or someone I love," when I said that my mind went immediately to her because she had a family here- Molly just got recently engaged and was ready to buy a house.
"Don't worry, I am here for you."
"Thanks Molly, I really glad I finally have told someone."
"Hey what are friends for. We are there for each other through anything, including creepy stalker dudes, who sneak into your house." I knew she was trying to make me laugh, but I couldn't, I had even ran out of tears.
"I think I am ready to go home."
"Are you sure, I mean he has been inside your house after all, he might be there waiting for you. Do you want to come home with me, I'm sure George wouldn't mind?"
"I'll be fine, I promise. Go home and be with your fiancée."
We gave each other a hug and said our goodbyes. I could tell Molly was scared for me. I left the hospital and walked to my car. I took a moment in the car to get my head together. I decided not to go straight home. Instead I drove around and thought about what I should do. I thought maybe if I just ignore him, he will stop and find someone else to bother. I finally made back home about an hour and half later. I walked in the door so cautious about if something was different or out of place. Nothing was out of the ordinary, the only thing that was weird was, when I walked over to Lucy, I found a note attached to her collar. I picked it up, it read don't forget I am always watching you even though you don't know where or who I am. And you are right about not going to the police or trust me I am not scared to get violent. I started shaking again. I looked around the house and checked each room about three times just to make sure I was really alone. I stayed by Lucy most of the night and wouldn't let her leave my side.
