When love lasts (Ash Ketchum x Reader)

2. Welcome to Galar

The plane landed and Ash and Pikachu get off.

(Ash's Pov)

So this is the Galar region? I thought taking my first look around. It sure looks amazing, but before I do anything else I have to go to the pokemon center and call Professor Oak.

<at the pokemon center>

"Hello Prof." I said as soon as he picked up.

"Hello Ash, how was your flight?" Prof. Oak asked.

"It was fine" I said.

The professor nodded. "Now that you're in Galar, if it's not to much trouble I just sent a package to the pokemon center where you are now. Could you deliver it to Professor Magnolia? The address should be on the box"

"Sure!" I said. I was looking forward to competing in the pokemon league, but that could wait. I could deliver a package for the Professor first.

"Thank you Ash, hope to see you soon" Oak said before hanging up.

"Well Pikachu, it looks like we'll have to make a detour before the first gym" I said.

"Pika-pi..." Pikachu grumbled.

"Don't worry buddy, we'll go there soon" I said. After getting the package from the desk at the pokemon center I took a flying taxi to the address on the box, which was in Wedgherst. when we got there everyone was running around looking excited.

I wonder what this is all about? I thought. "Excuse me, what's going on?" I asked someone.

"You don't know? The unbeatable champion Leon is coming to town today! he'll be here in an hour, I thought everybody had heard" a man answered.

"The champion?" I asked getting excited. "Can I battle him when he get's here?"

"Pika!" Pikachu said with electricity sparing from his cheeks.

The man shrugged. "I'm not sure, maybe. I have to go now, it was nice talking to you"

"Yeah, thanks for the help" I said.

"No problem" the man said before walking away.

"Did you hear that Pikachu?" I said. "The champion of the Galar region coming here, we might get to meet him, or maybe even battle him!" I looked down at the box in my hands. "But I still have to deliver this..... Oh well, he did say the champion would be here in an hour, that should give me plenty of time to deliver this!" I started to look around for the address, eventually I found it was a big purple building closer to the edge of town with a pokeball on the front. I knocked on the door, and when no one answered I went inside. As soon as I went in a pokemon I'd never seen before came up to greet me. Pikachu hoped off of my shoulder and started to communicate to it with electricity, so now I knew the type. 

"Who's there?" someone asked. A girl with orange hair in a ponytail and sunglasses on her head came down the stairs and the electric pokemon ran to her.

"Hi, I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet town" I introduced myself "This is Pikachu. sorry to barge in, I have a package for the Professor"

"It's fine Ash. I'm Sonia, Professor Magnolia is my grandmother, I believe that's who you're looking for?"

"Yeah, that's it!" I said.

Sonia nodded. "She's at her house right now on route 2, who are you delivering the package for?"

"Professor Oak" I said.

"Oh, it must be research then. Thank you for coming all this way, as a thank you, would you like me to update your rotom phone to have a pokedex, or do you already have one?" Sonia said.
