12. Mid-night Adventure

When Mohini spotted the person she was looking for she waved her hand frantically. Seeing her wave her hand, Harsh too waved his hand and of course not to mention the charming smile etched on his face. Damn, his looks. He wasn't a model but he should have been because his physical prowess can not be denied.

Mohini looked at Aryaman and then again at Harsh. They both were really attractive but they couldn't be compared to each other. Harsh was affable being who could crack jokes anytime anywhere whereas Aryaman was this sophisticated gentlemen you'd like. The conclusion she came to was that the Patidars had a great matchmaker who was responsible for both Aryaman-Mohini and Harsh-Kanika's happy married life.

The moment she reached where her family was, she was engulfed in a bone crushing bear hug by Kanika, her elder sister. "He-hey I-I can't Breath." she said patting her back. But when her predator didn't show any signs of leaving her, she looked at Harsh who was standing behind Kanika and pouted- "Jiju, save me please...please..." He was only person who could come to her saviour.

"Well, you see, that's what you get when you don't meet your sister for four freaking years. And anyways, I don't have a death wish. So I'd prefer to be in the good books of the devil." He said with a smug look. Mohini was baffled. How could he, her supposedly saviour do that? Glaring at him she said- "You- how could you change teams in an instant? You...you just wait. "

Finally, Kanika released her and glared daggers at her husband. Sensing the danger, he said- "What did I do this time? I certainly did not interfere in your sista matters, right..." Least bothered about his explanation, she said- "I am a devil? Well, then you are gonna sleep on the couch for a week."

Suddenly realisation dawned upon Mohini that she had forgotten the most important thing. She turned to her right to see Aryaman and said- " Sorry I didn't introduce you guys. This is my sister, Kanika Nooran, wife to this flip- flopper here, Harsh Nooran." Turning back to face her sister, she continued- "This is Aryaman.."

Harsh interrupted her by saying- "You haven't given him any nickname yet. You are so boring." Ignoring his comment she introduced Aarini who was stiffly standing next to Aryaman. "And this is my favourite soon-to-be sister in law. Isn't she cute, Di? " That brought the ever-so-happy Aarini back to her character. She flashed a beautiful smile of her own.

Harsh said- "Dude, this is your only chance. Back out now while you have time if you can't handle a angry bird for rest of your life. What you saw was just a glimpse. These sisters tend to go haywire when they are angry." He wasn't actually warning him, more like he was trying to get a reaction from the couple. What's more fun then getting on the nerves of a couple.

Before Mohini could even retort, Aryaman spoke like a hopeless romantic that he was, " I don't mind even a slightest bit becoming her punching bag. After all she is a treasure I don't want to lose. A few punches are worth it. "

"You are right Mr. Nanda. A few punches are worth this." saying that Harsh side hugged Kanika and pecked on here cheek to get a punch on his shoulder. He winked at Aryaman while everyone else chuckled seeing the drama unfold.

"You guys will have enough time to talk and bicker later. Let's first go home." said Mr. Patidar, Mohini's father. While the youngsters were busy among themselves, the elders already did the customary handshake and 'Welcome Mr. And Mrs. Nanda. Hope we will have a good time together as a family.' and other formalities.

Everyone seemed happy with this engagement. Mr. And Mrs. Nanda liked Mohini a lot and were glad to have her as their daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Patidar were also content with the arrangement seeing how Aryaman treated Mohini. Instead of being arrogant and domineering like what the groom's family generally is, his parents were polite and respectful towards them.
