Chapter 5: A Struggle Amonst The Dead

Y/n and the others on the bus had made their way out of the area which zombies were gathering by due to the loud noise
Kohta Hirano was annoying Y/n due to the loud snorts he was making as Y/n could not get a wink of sleep.
Y/n Hey!
Y/n calls out to Saya Takagi who was opposite him as she turned to him with an annoyed face.
Saya: What is it!?
Y/n: Wake him up, his snoring is irritating me...
Y/n said as he crossed his arm and closed his eyes trying to rest
Saya Takagi looked angrily at Kohta who was beside her as she nudged him to wake up.
Saya: Wake up already!
Kohta slowly opened his eyes and looked beside him.
Kohta: Ah Takagi-san, Goodmorning...
Y/n sighed as he got up and walked towards the entrance of the bus.
Saya: Hey where you going?
Y/n: I'm gonna go look for snacks to get, you wanna tag along?
Saya: Huh!? Haven't you heard what the police said?
Saeko: Talagi-San is right...
Saeko interrupted as she stood up approaching them.
Saeko: And plus, I think it would be problematic if you were to venture out by yourself since it's quite chaotic out there.
Y/n: You do have to worry...
He days as he opens the bus door
Y/n: I can take care of myself.
He says as he closes the door behind him.
Shizuka: Ah! I didn't tell him what snacks I wanted...
Shizuka said as she frowned, upon her talking Hayash8 woke up, realizing that Y/n was not next to her.
Hayashi: Huh? Where is L/n-san?
She says as she looks around in the bus not seeing Y/n anywhere.
Kohta: Goodmorning Ms.Hayashi
Kohta greets as Hayashi just nods as she was still wondering what happened to Y/n.
Saeko: L/n-san went out to grab snacks-
Hayashi: ALL BY HIMSELF!?!
Hayashi let out a loud yell as many people in the bus covered their ears.
Saeko: Calm down Ms Hayashi, he will be back in a few minutes.
Hayashi: Don't you guys realize how dangerous it is, to go out alone.
Shizuka: Well we did warn him, but he wouldn't listen...
Shizuka said quietly as Hayashi calmed down.
Hayashi: As a teacher you were supposed to stop him, you were supposed to be the mature one Ms Shizuka...
Shido: This could've all been prevented if we had a leader...
Shido walks up to the group as he had a smirk plastered all over his face.
Timeskip
Time has passed and the sun was setting, Y/n had finished grabbing snacks in a bag he found and was heading towards the bus, but as soon as he approached he saw people walking out of it.
Y/n: Hey! Why are you guys leaving?
Hayash: Y/n!
The group of six that left the bus noticed Y/n and walked towards him.
Saeko: It seems we are on our own now...
Saya: We couldn't stand wierdo Shido sensei.
Y/n was smiling really widely as he let out a chuckle.
Saya: What so funny!?
Y/n: It's nothing...
Y/n let out a last chuckle as Saya was beginning to get more irritated.
Saeko: We should probably join up with Komuro-kun soon
Y/n: You right, the best thing is to group up before the sun sets. Let's hurry!
The rest of the group nodded as Y/n covered the back while Kohta covered the front with the nail gun he was carrying.
Timeskip
The group had made it to Hugashi Police Station and surprisingly to everyone's relief they did not run into any zombies and quickly met up with Takashi and Rei.
Saeko: Komuro!
Saeko waved over to the two which they had a motorcycle as they joined together.
Hayashi: I'm so glad you two are safe.
Takashi: Well, we did run into some problems on our way here, but all of that is it the past now.
Rei: I'm really glad to see you guys.
Rei ran towards Shizuka as they hugged each other.
Y/n: Sorry to disturb the touching reunion, but we really should get shelter since it's already late.
Kohta: But we can't get pass the river due to the upstream.
Hayashi: Yeah and right now I could really use a place to rest my shoulders are killing me.
Hayshi says as she massages her shoulders and her breasts.
Rei: U-Um Ms Hayashi...
Rei called out to Hayashi as she stopped and stared at the Y/n
Hayashi: S-Sorry!!
Y/n: Why are you apologizing to me...
Their was a long silent but Shizuka broke it.
Shizuka: Well their is a place to rest.
Everyone focused on her.
Shizuka: My friend lives close by in an apartment, she gave me a spare key so now and then I clean up.
Everyone stares at Shizuka making her uncomfortable.
Shizuka: Wh-What?
Y/n: Why didn't you tell us that long ago? How close is 'close'?
Shizuka: We can walk, but we probably going to have to find a street that is clear of 'them'
Saya: Then why don't you go with Takashi lead the way sensei
Shizuka: O-Okay...
Takashi and Shizuka got on the bike, but before Talashi went he threw a weapon at Kohta
Kohta: W-WOAH!
Kohta barely managed to catch the gun as his heart almost burst out of his chest
Kohta: D-Do not throw firearms like they snacks.
Takashi: The safety is on don't worry... Then we off!
He says as he drives off as the group that was left behind followed the path.
