The bell for the first lesson had gone by the time Mr. Green had (finally) let us leave his office. I had English Language with Mr J. Green (The headmaster's brother) - but before I arrived in my class- I popped to the loo to re-apply my makeup that I had to remove earlier, and I swapped my blazer for the black hoodie I had in my bag. - just so I looked a little bit more 'me'.
I made 'Dodie'/ Dorothy wait outside whilst I did all of this, seeing as it was easier than directing her to lesson and looking like I'd turned up late for no apparent reason- this time I had quite a good excuse, actually- so I guess that's one thing she's good for.

Mr Green likes to do these things in lesson where one lesson a week, instead of doing English literature, we have to sit through a 'crash course' of Language. He explains everything quite slowly to ensure that it lasts the whole hour, where as he actually does around 15 minutes of planning, I recon. (Plus tasks).
Anyway- when we entered the room, Sir looked irritated by me, and then he saw Dorothy and smiled- does she have this affect on everyone but me? It happened when she entered the room with Principal Green too- I guess it's just the fact that's she's new and they're probably hoping she'll have a positive impact on me... -As if! I don't even want to be associated with her, never mind let her have some kind of impact on me! Anyway- she was sat next to me, and, as I did no work and listened to my iPod, she wrote pretty much everything sir said down, as if it was some sort of gospel.
By the end of the lesson, she probably had done more work than I do in a week!

I checked my timetable, and next I had Food Tech with Mr. Gomes. I don't even know why I chose food tech as my tech option, to be honest, I've become well known as the one who burns everything.
After english had ended, I walk to lesson (with Dorothy following me). This lesson we were told to make 'the perfect poached egg' (served with whatever we wanted) using the ingredients we had in front of us (An egg, oil, salt and pepper). I knew I was going to mess it up.

However, thing number two that Dorothy is good at is apparently poached eggs.
I was planning out what I was going to do when she said:
"I know how to make the perfect poached eggs... I'm addicted to them"
Obviously I was slightly surprised and also intrigued, but I let her continue anyway.
She wrote down:
'1: Get a bowl and stick some cling film over it
2: Oil the middle of the bowl on top of the cling film
3: Crack an egg and drop it in where the oil is
4: Season with salt and pepper
5: Boil some water
6: Get the sides of the cling film and make the cling film into a capsule sorta thing for the egg
7: Cook for 4 mins
8: Open and enjoy!'
I had to comment- I don't know the recipes to make anything- that was pretty impressive if you ask me!
"Woah -Dorothy you must be pretty skilled at making poached eggs as you have memorised the recipe"
"Dodie" She corrected me.
"Sorry, what?"
"I don't like being called Dorothy. It's too proper, too Adulty. And I don't suit it. So please.- Please don't call me that. "
"Sorry...- I didn't know."
"It's fine."
Okay so maybe she did change me a little- I mean I don't apologise, and if I do it's usually sarcastically.
Anyway, we made both our poached eggs. Dodie's was served on top of toast, and mine was served with some beans.
It was the first lesson this year in which I'd completed all of the work, and it was the first food tech lesson I'd not burnt anything. I wonder if it was anything to do with Dodie? I hope not. I don't want her to change me. I'm fine the way I am.

(A/N So that's the next chapter done! Don't worry- in the next chapter there'll be some choddleoddle fluff or flirting or something aha - I need this plot to develop, guys! Please vote, comment or follow me- it was the comments by hopefulxcarrie and jennyinneverland96 that made me write this chapter - so your comments do help! Anyway thanks!
