The Woods

When he opens the big double doors, light pours in. I have to shield my face and squeeze my eyes shut. I haven't seen the sun in a while.. It feels weird. He motions me to keep moving, pushing my back with his hand. I walk through the doors, the wind feels so good on my face. I sigh in relief of being able to breathe.

"Don't enjoy it t much, you'll be running for your life soon." I turn around and see the wide smirk on his face. Sadly, he is correct. So, I take this time to scan my surroundings. To the west is thick forest, to the east is valleys and right in front of me is mountain. I step back craning my head further to see the top of the mountain.

Daniel...

Isealia! Are you okay?

I don't know where to go. "I'll give you five minutes,, so take it all in cause this will be your last time seeing this world." I really want to snap at him. He's such an ass. But, I know that's not the wisest decision.

Tell me your surroundings, what do you see? I look up once more.

Um, well there is mountain, forest and valley. But, I don't know which one would hide me the most. I am scared as hell Daniel, what if he ends up catching me? I hear him mentally sigh.

Isealia. head to the mountains, it will hide you the most, there will be caves. I know your a strong girl, your my mate, I know you can do it.

Alright..."Are you done yet? I don't have all-"

"Let's do this." I smile widely at him, gladly cutting him off. "This is your funeral, I don't know why your happy about it... you get a 2 minute head start." And with that he turns around. I mentally know to run but, my legs wont move... Why am I so scared? I know that I will live, even Daniel believes in me. I just, I wish my wolf was here. This would make my life alot less complicated. So, with that, I breathe. I concentrate on running, and then I feel it... My bones crack. My Wolf! I shift into her once again.

Did you miss me Isealia, cause' I sure as hell missed being out here.

Marianna! Your alive!? I choke on sob, I don't have much time.

Yes, but barely, come on lets get moving. We should get as far away from here as possible, I don't have the energy to keep this up.She knows me too well, and being an extension of me she should.

And next thing I know I'm running, my paws on the cool earth, the wind in my fur. It's like paradise. I almost forget what I am doing. Then, I hear the growl, he's coming after me... I run faster along the rocks, making sure not to leave tracks, I can feel my breath quickening. I need to find safety. I need to find a place to hide.

His growls get louder and louder, I notice that I can't keep this up for very much longer. My klutz self wasn't paying attention, and there I go, tumbling down through the rocks. i keep rolling down until I hit the bottom and everything goes black, all i hear is the sound of water.

*Daniel POV*

I have been waiting to hear from her again, but nothing. She hasn't answered back in hours. I tried to contact her but all I feel is sleep... or what I hope is sleep.

I sigh. It is not easy being away from a mate this long. It's not very healthy either. My wolf is chomping at the bit, it is starting to get harder and harder to contain him. He's not the only one that wants to find her. So, here I am sitting at a table, in a cafe. Doing what? Nothing, absolutely nothing. I don't have very much to go on... but, maybe if i go back- no that's absurd- I can't go back there. Not after what I have done...

you know you want to Daniel, maybe then can-

Shut up John! They don't care that i am gone. I left a long time ago. I growl softly at him.

But, what if they can help.

No. They can't help. They never wanted me. The whole pack practically hated me. So, no. I am not going back. And with that I dismiss John, he might be my wolf, but he should know better than anyone that I can't go back. I can't return to the very people who drove me out of the pack, my own family.

I start gazing around the cafe, I catch a man's eyes directly on me. But, for some reason they look familiar. A bit to familiar. I was about to get up and introduce myself, but he gets up first and leaves. Weird, people these days are quite... mysterious. I dismiss the thought and continue to drink my coffee waiting for Isealia to contact me... All I can do is sit here and wait.. Its pathetic.

*Isealia POV*

I awaken, and the sky is dark. I try to get up but my leg is caught under something. I whimper at the pain. I hear the water next to me trickle into the lake, where am I? I yell quietly into the cave, "Hello, is anyone, anyone at all around.. I need help please!" I wait, but there is no answer. I am alone here, and no one can save me. Daniel! I need to contact Daniel.

Daniel?! Daniel?! I'm stuck my leg is stuck under a rock. I can't move, it's dark and I'm scared.

Isealia, I can feel it, what's wrong, what happened, why didn't you contact me earlier?!

I don't know, one minute I was running and the next... I find myself in a cave stuck. I have no where to go, and the man.. he might still be looking for me.

Isealia.. can you tell me what you see?It's dark but, thanks to me being a wolf I can faintly make out the lake, and the mountain. Um, there is a lake with a small waterfall and a mountain. I fell down a cavern I believe, but, I can't really move.

Isealia, just stay with me okay.. Promise me that. I think I know a way I can find you... but, I need you to be the strong girl i know, okay?

Alright Daniel, I will, I promise...

Good, I wil speak with you in a bit, I have to head somewhere.

Wait your a rouge?! I am pretty sure he heard me gasp, but really? Is my mate a rouge!

I guess you could say that. but, I think of it more as a run away.

His wall was put up, and all I could do was sit there. Is my mate a rouge? Why did he run away? and what from? I'm sure he's just  protecting himself... but, what if he isn't the man I believe him to be...
