It was lunch time so I was walking to the canteen with Kaeya. Diluc didn't come with us since he was held back by a teacher.
While I was walking, I saw Xiao. "oh hey Xiao"

Xiao finally looked at me and said "Aether, do you wanna eat lunch together?- oh Kaeya."
"Hey Xiao." Kaeya waved his hand. Xiao just ignored him and went to the counter.

"Yes." The lady gave Xiao almond tofu.
"How about you kid and Kaeya?" The lady looked at me and Kaeya.
"I'll have the chicken-mushroom skewer."
"Umm," I looked at the food and said, "then I'll take the [insert food] please."
"Sure, wait a moment." The lady gave the food to me and Kaeya.

"You're welcome." The three of us went to a nearby table and we sat down. It was silent between us. It wasn't uncomfortable or awkward, it was kinda nice.
Xiao's POV:
I was glancing at Aether while eating. He looked really cute but when I heard a voice call my name, I cursed under my breath.
"Hey Xiao and hello to you, Kaeya." A ginger headed person appeared in my vision.
"Hey Childe," Kaeya said.
"Ugh, what do you want, Childe?"
"I heard from Zhongli about a crush"
"him? a crush?" Kaeya asked looking at Childe and back to Xiao.
"If that's the only thing you wanted to say, then leave."
"Can I please know who it is?" Childe glanced at Aether, finally acknowledging his presence. While Childe observed Aether, Aether felt uncomfortable.
'Why the heck is he staring at Aether?' I glared.
"Do you need something?" Aether asked.
"Yes. What's your name?" Childe said, "My name is Tartaglia, but you can call me Childe."
"My name is Aether." Childe's eyes widened for a second.
Childe's POV: (before)
'Can't believe I lost that bet.' I bought five cream breads for Scaramouche and Signora since and as I was about to head out, I saw Kaeya and a blonde-haired girl.
'I guess he found a new playmate, might as well say hi.'
As I got closer to them, I also saw Xiao. 'Xiao? Never expected for those two to eat lunch together.'
"Hey Xiao and hello to you, to Kaeya."
"Ugh, what do you want, Childe?" Xiao asked.
