The sun went down, night has come, streets became empty, and people came to rest. The beggar now started walking towards home; she knew she was near as she heard the owl's woot and the whooshes of the tree. She felt peace as she began to feel the breeze of the fresh cold wind; she sat on a rock so comfortably and whispered, "I am back," with a smile on her face as she lay down on the rock while staring at the moon. She opened her mouth and started talking to the moon, but suddenly she was interrupted as soon as she saw the clouds slowly covering the moon. Having no one to talk to, She became lonely, and tears started falling from her eyes

On the very same night, a man was walking and hear weeping in the middle of the forest. He wondered who was it that was crying. She followed the soft weeping sound until she saw a woman. The moon was barely giving light, so the woman didn't notice him. He walked slowly towards her and sat on the same stone. The woman was surprised by him. She quickly wiped her tears and asked, " What do you want?"

The man answered, "I only want to hear the reason why you were crying inside a peaceful forest."

"For me, this forest was my home, The whooshes, the woot of the owls, the chirps of the insect was a piece of music to my ears, and it feels like the moon is watching over me. It is the place where I find peace, she said."

"A forest is indeed a peaceful place; it is the best place to rest away from the people, but I also want to hear the reason behind your tears." Says the man

The woman was confused. Why would a mysterious man that appeared in the forest where she was living suddenly started asking questions about her? She has many questions, but she also felt comfort because someone finally wants to hear her story.

With a severe voice, the woman said, I always feel like the moon was staring at me, listening for me to talk. Ever since then, I never felt lonely at night, but suddenly the thick clouds covered the moon, which saddened me for the moon can't hear my story anymore.

I would love to listen to your story, the man replied

A few seconds passed, the woman made up her mind and started telling her story to this mysterious man

I was the most beautiful person in the past. The people admired me for my eyes and my hair that are as beautiful as the clear, bright sky. Since then, the people started calling me Azure. They also considered it as an honor to catch a glimpse of me and even called me a goddess. I lived like a spoiled princess. They offered me gifts and food. They provided everything I wanted. I never even experienced having a scar or bruises, for they had protected me. I felt so happy and loved living the life that many people wished to have.

I was so happy. It felt like I have everything since the life of the people revolved around me.

But one day, news spread about someone, a man who had golden eyes, which sparked the people's interest. Everyone who had gone to see this man fell in love with him since then. No one came back or even bothered to check on me. I didn't expect this day would come, nor was I ready for it. I tried to get the people's attention, but I became nothing, for they have found someone better. The people took back everything they gave to me, and I was left with nothing but despair.

Bitterness started to grow in my heart, and if only that man hadn't appeared, my life wouldn't be this miserable. No matter what I do, it was already impossible for me to go back to my old life. I was falling apart that no words can express how overwhelming the painful truth greeted my perfect life, the bitter truth that someone will always be better than you. Every night my eyes were full of tears, wishing for my happiness to come back even if it was just deceit.

Stumbled in life, I had to find a way to live. I tried to work to get myself something to eat, but I neither had the knowledge or experience for it. Left without a choice, I begged in the streets for food, and as soon I opened my palm for food, I saw scars and bruises on my skin for the first time. Sadly I started living the life of a beggar and suffered humiliation and disgusts from people that once loved me before.
