Hermione raced through the corridors, heaving the cold, early morning air into her lungs and glancing out at the navy and purple hues painting the sky.

She skidded to a stop once she spotted Snape's dark robes ahead of her and struggled to shout over to him.

"Professor! I need you to come with me, it's urgent!"

Snape turned to look at her, his gaze dark and his wand lowered at his side.

"I expect you have a reasonable explanation as to why you're traipsing about the corridors at this hour, Miss Granger, or have you been spending too much time with Potter?" Snape drawled.

Hermione bent over slightly in an attempt to catch her breath.

"Please, Sir. This is about Malfoy."

He stared at her for a long second, then jutted his chin out indicating her to continue.

"I need you to come to the seventh floor with Professor Dumbledore...something has happened."

"Is the boy hurt?" He asked.

Hermione faltered.

She had already healed his injuries, but she supposed he was still quite weak.

She nodded.

"Very well. We shall be there in ten minutes."

He swiftly turned away from his student and walked away into the darkness of the hallway.

Hermione made her way back to the seventh floor, the tip of her wand glowing with her lumos charm, and she quickly searched the floor for Draco's wand.

"Merlin!" She jumped back as an electrifying buzz shot through her hand once she made contact with the 10" Hawthorn.

She scowled deeply.

Draco had placed some sort of protective charm over his wand, and she presumed that meant only he would be able to wield it.

She turned at the sound of footsteps and watched as Dumbledore and Snape made their way towards her.

Her former potions professor glanced down at Draco's wand on the floor then brought his attention to Hermione.

"What have you done to the boy, Miss Granger?" He sneered.

She glanced between the two of them nervously.

"I came here last night to see whether or not Draco had been back to the room of requirement to do...whatever it is he seems to be doing. He fainted when he came out of the room."

"That does not answer my question." Snape folded his arms carefully.

Hermione sighed and pointed to the wall behind her, "he's in there."

"In what form did the room of requirement reveal itself to you?" Dumbledore questioned.

"It's just a room sir. It has a bed, bathroom, a kitchen, and a living space. The problem is..." she hesitated, "Draco can't leave."

"Cannot leave, Miss Granger?" Snape frowned.

She nodded.

"We tried multiple times, but only I have been able to get in or out. The doors refuse to reveal themselves to him."

Dumbledore allowed a small chuckle to slip out of his mouth.

"I'm afraid, Miss Granger, neither Professor Snape nor myself shall be able to enter. The castle has made her decision and Mr Malfoy will simply have to wait."
