Dan’s POV

Phil is my best friend. I used to pretty much ‘fangirl’ over him and the next thing I know, we’re best buddies. He’s pretty blind – well, not blind but his eyes are pretty darn bad. I wore his glasses once and I could hardly see. It was rather funny. I love Phil to bits…as a friend, of course.

“Dan, what are you doing?” Phil laughed. His English accent is quite different to mine and much more adorable. He gives me butterflies and I don’t even know why. I don’t like him that way? We were walking through Manchester, planning to buy some milkshakes, and to be silly, I acted like a retarded seal mixed with a worm whilst he held his camera on me. I like making him laugh. I sometimes find myself watching past videos of us on his channel or mine just to watch him laugh. I know all his little quirks, especially the cute little animal noises he makes. I’ve even memorised some of his individual videos. Is that normal for a best friend to do?

“Hi, I’m Phil,” I said, weirdly, and he laughed like crazy.

“What?! I don’t even know what you’re trying to be?” I stopped acting like an idiot and smiled at him. I swear he blushed a little.

“I’m a worm cross with a seal. Couldn’t you tell?”

“I’m so putting this in the video, Dan, you do know that.”

I laughed. “I’ve done crazier things and shown them to the entire world before.”

“True.” He did the squinty-eyed thing he does and he looked out into the distance thinking. I just stared at him intently – perhaps for too long. His eyes were the most brilliant shade of blue. They were almost literally the colour of a good sky. He looked back at me. “You’re a good mate, Dan.” I smiled incredibly at this, my cheeks turning an immense shade of red. Part of me wanted to be more than a mate. Ugh, wait, don’t. Push those stupid thoughts from your mind, Dan.

“Thanks,” I laughed. “You’re not too bad yourself.”

“Hey Dan, I have a question.” I nodded. “Would you want to…uh…move in with me? In an apartment or something? We could film together more easily, you know. Convenience and all that.”

 Phil’s POV

I tried to build up the confidence to ask Dan the question I’d been wondering about for weeks. Suddenly, I just asked it. I wanted to pull the words back in straight away as they went out but I couldn’t, obviously, so I tried to cover up my feelings for Dan. I really liked Dan. A lot. Perhaps more than just a friend. Why had I told him he’s a good mate? What a ridiculous thing to say. “Would you want to…uh…move in with me? In an apartment or something? We could film together more easily, you know. Convenience and all that,” I managed to get out. I sounded like a complete tool. Dan’s face lit up, though, as soon as I’d mentioned the words ‘move in with me’. He must really like hanging out with me! Really keen for the convenience factor, I assumed.

“Yes! Dude, that would be awesome!” He said excitedly.

We went out for milkshakes and his eyes were browner than ever. He was amazing. I don’t even know what I feel for him but it’s strong. I decided I’d shout this time, just to be nice.
