Bakugo's crimson eyes desperately pleaded for information. Moonlight and dim lightning being the only source of light able to make the two see each other.
After a few more seconds of the intense gaze of one pair of red eyes boring into a pair of e/c eyes, Y/n huffed out in defeat before breaking their eye contact.
"Promise to never tell anyone?"
Bakugo looked back at the completely vulnerable girl, his body unawaredly relaxing into the girl's embrace.
A wave of pain hit Y/n's heart, resulting in her flinching and crouching down a bit.
Bakugo, who was quick to notice the suffering look on Y/n's eyes started caressing the girl's cheek in order to get rid of her immense distress.
"Promise" his voice softened, dragging his thumb to draw little soothing circles on her cheek.
Ashamedly, Y/n looked back at the ground, her fingers fiddling with the hem of Bakugo's shirt.
"Do you know how I never understand what you are saying most of the time? How I don't know many of the games you and your friends play and the way I talk?"
"Well...yes."
Y/n reverted her anxious gaze back to Bakugo who was absentmindedly still stroking her cheek with his dumb although a serious look lingered on his eyes.
She sighed out once more before slightly laughing, "Well...that's because I'm actually not from this period of time, surprise!" Y/n awkwardly chuckled as she brought her hands up in a surprise manner.
Instantly, Bakugo snapped out of his loving trance, unwrapping her protective arms around her and instead, firmly pressing both sides of his palms on her shoulder.
"HUH? WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?" the boy ferociously yelled out.
In response, Y/n once again awkwardly chuckled before pushing Bakugo's hold away from her, starting to hold his hands on her laps in the process.
"You've heard me..."
As Bakugo noticed the tense figure of Y/n, he was quick to slightly tighten his hold on her hands.
Unconsciously, Y/n relaxed into the hold of Bakugo's warm hands.
"That being said, I must leave."
Bakugo's eyes widened in bewilderment, not quite understanding what the girl in front of him was implying.
"What are you saying?" he with doubt whispered, once again tightening his hold on the girl's hand.
Y/n tried to keep the best stoic expression she could manage before she spoke the words that would shatter both of their fragile hearts.
"I'm going to leave this time period, I've done something wrong and I'm dying."
Bakugo's eyes widened once more, this time in pure sorrow. All of this information was too much for him to handle and comprehend.
"What?" his deep voice cracked as he spoke, tears starting to brim his vision.
At the sight of the completely vulnerable boy, Y/n's heart only seemed to break more.
In desperation, she held onto Bakugo's dejected face and started rambling.
"I-I'm sorry for telling you all of this now and I know this is too much information for you to comprehend but I just wanted to say goodb-"
"Get out."
Y/n's heart fell at the heavy tone the sorrowful boy used at her. Bakugo wouldn't even glance at Y/n, completely ignoring her existence.
After a few more seconds of complete utter silence, Bakugo roughly grabbed Y/n's hands that cupped his face and roughly threw her away from him.
"LEAVE ME ALONE!"
Y/n collapsed back onto the edge of the staircase from Bakugo's harsh throw.
Both stood stuck in place for the next few moments, breathless with endless suffering pants of breaths coming out of their mouths.
"Well, it was nice to meet you Bakugo" Y/n's voice shook as she ignored any eye contact with the wide eyed boy.
"I hope in another life we got to spend more time" Y/n hesitantly called out to the boy, cleaning the dust off her clothes.
"Never in another life would I want to spend my time with you."
An intense amount of pain struck through Y/n's already broken heart as she heard him say that.
Hesitantly, Y/n glanced back at the boy only to see him crouching down on the floor, his red eyes wide eyedly looking down on the floor with endless pants still coming out of his mouth.
Truthfully, she thought she deserved this treatment from him. She had been so naive this whole time. Staying would only make things more complicated so she did what she was always the best at...
let go.
Y/n let out one painful smile to the boy before turning around and calling out, "Goodbye Bakugo."
And with that, Y/n disappeared away into the dark night.
Bakugo's gaze lingered on the ground even after the girl left, still wide eyedly staring down at the floor.
With all of the events just hitting him, a sudden wave of displeasing realization caused him to break.
Painful screams and yells of Bakugo echoed through the many households as his cries only got louder.
Many hiccups got caught on his throat from not being able to properly breath, too occupied with letting out his bottled up emotions.
Amused laughter mixed in with his endless cries, Bakugo not knowing how to comprehend with the harsh reality of this situation.
Not knowing if he found it rather funny or devastating how the girl who he had been lovingly caressing her cheek had vanished away from his protective hold in the span of two minutes.
Stating that she didn't even belong here in this time period with him, telling him she's dying away.
Reminding him to think about the possibilities the two would hold in another life, and not in this one...
Never in his sixteen years of living would he have thought that he would be throwing a tantrum sitting at a random fire escape staircase because of the many mistakes he had finally admitted he had made.
In agony, Bakugo started randomly errupting explosions from his palms, blasting off many pieces of the staircase.
And so, the rest of the night went on with the countless explosion eruptions coming from Bakugo, whose palms constantly got hurt more and more from the overusage of his quirk.
