"Hey, where's the girls at?" Sam asked an hour later coming in and setting some bags on the counter in the kitchen.

"They went on a hunt so Kaashaa could blow off some steam," came the reply as Dean continued to concentrate on what he was doing.

"Oh," Sam replied sitting down at the table after retrieving a beer from the fridge.

"Yeah, thought it best to keep you two separated for a while before you literally drive me and Dany off a cliff," Dean stated finally finishing the task at hand then coming to sit across from his brother, "So mind telling me what's been up with you lately? First, you decide you can't live without Kaashaa, get her to agree to marry you then a few months later you're going at it with Eileen."

"What happened between Kaashaa and I was a mistake. It's not really any of your business Dean," Sam stated bluntly before taking a swig of his beer.

"You know you say that but it's affecting all of us, Sam. I thought you really loved Kaash. Hell, I thought you'd found the hole you've had since Jess's death," Dean said calmly glancing at his brother.

"Well, I guess I was wrong about that. Kaashaa is a monster and how do you think mom and dad would feel me marrying something that's not even human. Besides like you've always told me eventually the other shoe was going to drop," Sam answered sighing.

"I said that once but man I was wrong. Sam, Kaashaa's not like anything we've ever dealt with, and wasn't it you that taught me that sometimes we have to go off what we see and not just go off what we've been taught. Besides, when have you ever cared what dad thought and what makes you think mom wouldn't like Kaashaa?" Dean quizzed worry starting to radiate out of him.

Sam didn't answer, just grabbed his stuff, "I'm going to go grab a shower. Oh, by the way, Eileen and mom will be here in a couple of hours," he finally said as he headed out of the room.
