[I was sitting on my big throne chair sipping a cup of hot chocolate watching the snow fall, patiently waiting to open the factory to the public once again. It's been three years since Charlie won the grand golden ticket prize and he's been my trusty chocolate advisor ever since. Sad enough though, he had school today so he won't be joining me and my beloved Oompa Loompas on the virtual televised tour we've arranged for the shut-ins since the Covid-19 lockdown. The new normal, they call it. Ugh.
I needed to do something to keep the excitement for my candy alive. Candy cheers everyone up, right? Well, maybe not the person reading this, but who asked you anyway?
Breaking me out of my thoughts, I perched my head down toward an Oompa Loompa tugging gently on my pant leg, reminding me that the time has come].
Ten o'clock has arrived, it's showtime!

Dear guests, greetings! My name is Willy Wonka. I will personally conduct you around the factory this morning.
*Pauses, looks at the camera with a breath and small smile, then continues speaking*
Before we start, I'd like to explain why I have decided to, once again, open my factory up to the public & more about this virtual tour, a bit more in depth.
*Pulls out flashcards*Ahem...
As you may know, plans for inner city travel and other international trips in 2020 were brought to an abrupt halt by the Covid-19 pandemic. Around the world, once-crowded sights lay dormant, with hotels empty and not a tourist in sight to visit the factory. Covid-caused disruptions have put more than 41 million jobs at risk across the travel and tourism sector. In the absence of travellers, tourism boards, hotels and destinations have turned to virtual reality - a technology still in its relative infancy - to keep would-be visitors interested and prepare for the long road to recovery.
So today...I, Willy Wonka, am making a promise to you all to be a part of the rebuilding and restructuring of our society, while also continuing to deliver tasty treats & grant the wishes of candy lovers everywhere!
*Feeling proud of myself*
This will be the first ever televised showcase of my factory. The big inside scoop, so to speak!

This room is specially designed to fit the world's largest candy inside. And just as before, everything is eatable, though I don't recommend eating much because you could get a tummy ache, as there are very high levels of sugar packed all up neatly in each bite. However, do feel free to take a lick from a sucker or two, 'kay? Ha ha.
