Jerking awake isn't the most fun I would have to say, especially if you got hit on the head. So here I lay clutching my head on the floor as the man chuckled at me from above. Looking up, my red eyes glared into his weird ones.
Sitting up slowly, I carefully adjusted myself back on the ground so I wouldn't fall again. Hearing talking outside the thing we rode in, I looked out the window to see what seemed like a large civilization of Sephrimes.
Many more than what I preferred and all stopped and bowed to the moving thing I was stuck in. These beings had such weird customs, bowing in front of an inanimate object. "What's with the frustrated face, we are almost home."
I looked at the man, his eyes staring deeply at my figure. What's he thinking about?
As he studied me I turned to look out the window again not caring about his presence. We were getting closer and closer to this big building in the distance and more of the Sephrime population continued to grow as we rode past them. "What is the condition you have?"
I looked to the man, his eyes gazed quizzically at my hair and eyes. I cleared my throat again, "I am albino."
My voice was rough but soft, catching him off guard slightly. I rubbed my dry throat lightly as I looked back out the window, the big building getting bigger as we drove to it. Hearing shuffling I turned to look at the man only to see a glass shoved in my face, "Drink, you sound parched."
Slowly I took the glass. He wouldn't poison me, right? Shaking my head I drank it, my throat instantly feeling better. I gave him back the glass only to see him fill it up and give it to me again. Confused I drank the water halfway, keeping the cup, "Why'd you stop, is it not to your liking?"
I shook my head, "No, I just don't need much."
He hummed in thought and stared at me more, seemingly sizing me up. "What causes your odd coloring? You're genes? Or are you a different species of human?"
My head buzzed with all these questions he asked, how do I answer with answers I don't know? "I don't know, the elders only talked about me being albino. I never brought up other questions like that?"
Why would I need to know pointless information like that? A lot of these beings ask too many pointless questions. Like why would I be a different species of human, that's impossible.
We come in all colors in shapes like them so why ask such things. "I'm only curious about your condition," he came closer, "I would also like to take my time personally examining your odd features." He picked up a strand of my hair, "It's such a fascinating sight to behold."
Staring blankly at him, I carefully took my hair out of his hands and scooted further away from him. He didn't like that act of disobedience though. As he grabbed my arm and roughly pulled me to him, "Now now, I don't fully agree with you distancing yourself from me pet."
I kept quiet.
The weirds moving thing we were in stopped and I turned to look out the window. We had arrived at the big building I saw in the distance prior and many Sephrimes were lined up in the way of the exit of the moving box. "Come pet, it's time to properly clean you and dress you."
The tall man ducked out of the box and picked me up out of it. I tried not to squirm too much but I don't like being held like I'm defenseless. Putting up with it for the meantime I looked at my surroundings. The building was massive up close, made of orange-red materials with grey windows.
Banners of the color of my new owners of eyes hung around the walls and many of the Sephrimes lined up had outfits of the same color on as well. As he walked us up to the main doors many of the people kneeled and bowed at him. Though for a moment I acted like they were bowing to me.
We walked through the doors and it was beautifully grand. A big circle thing held the lights in the middle of the room. Nature seemed to take over this room and from what I could see the whole building itself.
A big chair made of the orange tree I saw outside stood tall in the middle of the room. Atop it sat a tall male Sephrime with a woman on his lap. They openly engaged in heated a passion that I was often forced to take part in with my other owners. "Prince Saros has returned!"
I jolted at the random voice. Before I could look around to find its source, the man and woman on the chair turned to us and smiled brightly. "My son, you've returned!"
The woman ran towards us excitedly. She was beautiful by Sephrime standards. Dark skin but not as dark as my owner and the man on the chair. Her long hair had many white beads in it and her clothing also was white and flowing.
Are the royals the only ones that wear white?
I jumped out of my thoughts as she reached towards me, "Is this the new pet you wanted? His coloring is odd, I've never seen anything like it."
She reached for my hair and lightly twirled it, "Oh look! His eyes are red! How did you find one of this color Saros?"
"I heard some rumors about him in the northern village trade."
The woman hummed, "Come, come show your father. He will most certainly like this pet."
My owner, Saros, walked beside the woman towards the chair in the big room. The man was very similar to Saros. Tall, weird eye color, and long, beaded hair. He wore a similar attire but had a cape the same color as his eyes. He smiled brightly and brought the woman back into his arms, kissing her on the head.
"Welcome home son, I see you got your pet," he looked me over thoughtfully, "His coloring matches those of royals, amazing. I've never seen anything like it."
Saros smiled and hummed in agreement. The woman looked up at him, "Have you named him yet? Or does he already have a name?"
Saros looked to me in his arms, "Do you have a name little one?"
"Ceilo," I said quietly.
I'm usually not so meek, but around this man and woman, I could almost feel their power. It set off my instincts to run and hide. "That's a beautiful name, it fits him perfectly. Darling you should go introduce him to Aerglo and Deimos, they've been anxiously waiting in the playroom," the woman said.
Kissing her on the head, Saros left the big room holding slightly tighter than before. We eventually got to a wall in a random hallway. "Hold onto my neck, I need to climb and I don't want you falling."
Eyes wide, I quickly wrapped my arms around his neck and legs around his thin torso. He started climbing, slow at first making sure I was secure. Then he was racing up the wall, we passed many floors until we came towards the top. My head was becoming dizzy with motion sickness and I felt the need to puke. Eventually, after a few minutes, he stopped and I couldn't stop quivering from the sudden speed. "Hush pet you are fine, I should've warned you."
He tried to pry me from himself, but I only gripped on tighter shaking even more. Sighing he ignored me and started to walk, only then did I start to feel slightly better. Saros stopped at a room near the middle of the hall and opened it. Many noises came from the room, but mostly moans and hisses.
My head still tucked into the crook of my owner's neck, I couldn't see what was happening but I could guess. "Deimos, Aerglo come meet your new brother," Saros's voice boomed with excitement.
