Timeskip a couple hours Meliodas (POV) Ever since our run in with Gilthunder and Drake, Niko has been bedridden with that nasty laceration down his chest. He hasn't woken up since then and that was a couple days ago. Diane is really worried about him and keeps peeping through the window of his room to check in on him. As if right now, I'm riding on Diane's shoulder and we're making our way to Baste Prison. Meliodas- Apparently Ban the Sin of Greed and Xerxes the Horseman of Conquest were thrown behind bars and King the Sin of Sloth is already dead and buried by now. Think that's true? Diane- Well I'm not really sure. I'm not really interested in any man but you. As she finishes that sentence she looks over to the window of Niko's room and has a look of distraught and guilt. Diane-.......Forget I said that. I hop off her shoulder and onto Mama Hawk. Meliodas- I've made up my mind. We're going to Baste Prison to rescue Ban and Xerxes. Diane- Alright! Sounds good to me Captain! Hawk- What made you want to pick that place first? Meliodas- It's closer. Hawk- You're such a chump. Elizabeth- I don't think you should do this. For now, tending to your injuries as well as Sir Niko should be our top priority. In your condition, facing off with another Holy Knight could mean..... I shove my face underneath her skirt and face first into her area. Meliodas- This will make me better. Elizabeth- Could it really? Hawk- Of course it can't! I remove myself from her area and give her head pats. Meliodas- Come on Elizabeth, don't worry about me or Niko. It's no big deal. A little sleep like Niko and I'll be good to go. Timeskip Diane (POV) The Captain is out cold and in the same state as Niko. I have them both in my hands as we arrive at Dalmally Town about 8 miles northeast of Baste Prison.

The townspeople immediately scatter and scream before I can utter a word. Diane- No wait a minute. I just wanted to see if you had a doctor in this town. It's no use as everyone flees. I look down in my palms at the two most important people to me in their unconscious state. Diane- Captain........Niko...... Footsteps and hooves can be heard coming up from behind me. It was Hawk and the Princess. Hawk- What'd I tell ya?! Elizabeth- Please! Hawk and I are more capable of finding a doctor! Won't you just- Diane- Look, I'm going to be the one helping the Captain and Niko! Hawk- How can you help if people run for the hills the minute they see you?! Anger crosses my face but I realize that Hawk is right. Diane- Alright fine. Then you two go find a doctor. They run off leaving me sitting in the street watching over the boys. Awhile later a doctor is found and both boys are taken in while I sit and watch them from the outside.

Elizabeth (POV) I watch on as the doctor give both boys medicine. Doctor- This medicinal blend is of my own concoction. I guarantee it'll end their suffering. Elizabeth- Thank you for seeing them Doctor Dana. Dana- Based off their injuries, it's a miracle they're still even alive. In addition to the rather deep sword wounds, one has burns as if he were struck my lightning and the other was exposed to a small amount of a poison. Probably from a gas. How did children get these? The doctor leaves the room leaving just Hawk, myself, and Lady Diane. Elizabeth- It's all my fault isn't it? Hawk- Huh? Elizabeth- I said that I wanted to stop the Holy Knights. That's what led them to look for the Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. And the result is this. Hawk- Easy there Elizabeth. Elizabeth- I'm sorry. I put a wet towel across the foreheads of the boys. Elizabeth- Sir Meliodas, Sir Niko. I do hope you feel better soon. Hawk- So what are we supposed to do now? Elizabeth- Maybe we should just stay here until they wake up. We'll go to Baste Prison later. Diane- I'm going to start heading that direction right now. Once the Captain and Niko wake, I'm pretty sure they'll want to go right away and not waste anymore time. Especially Niko. But I can't let them do that till I know all their wounds have been healed. She gets up and starts walking off. Both Hawk and I quickly depart the building and give chase after her. Elizabeth- Diane wait! I'll go with you! Diane comes to a stop. Diane- I don't want you getting in the way. I mean, just look at that tiny body of yours and those skinny arms. What could YOU possibly do to help ME? The only things you're good for Princess, are changing the wash cloths you put on Niko and the Captain's head and being their little nurse maid. Hawk- Is that anyway to talk to her?! Just because she can't throw people around and shake the ground when she walks doesn't mean she's no good! Come on! Diane gives us both a look that strikes fear into Hawk

Elizabeth- I have to do something. Anything, to be some help to Sir Meliodas and Sir Niko. They're hurt and I know it's all my fault. I just cause trouble. They're getting hurt for my sake. Diane stomps her foot in front of me. Diane- Now don't kid yourself! It's not like the Captain risked everything for you! And Niko damn sure didn't do that either! The Captain had been like that. Always has. It's just who he is. Trust me, I should know. Elizabeth- What do you mean? Diane- It was back when I left my hometown and started traveling on my own. I was looking for Niko and got into some argument with some stupid Knights along the way. The Captain took the out and ridiculed them. He asked me if I was scared. He is the only other person who's asked me if I was scared. He said that to a person twice his size. I can still remember like it was yesterday. It's something I've rarely experienced. For once I felt the same height as the boy I was talking to. I know it wasn't true but for a moment, I let myself believe that. Elizabeth- Who was the other person? Diane- Do you even have to ask? It's Niko of course. Niko........where do I begin? He's special to me. He's been there with me from the beginning. Even when I was a little girl. He's been protecting me for as long as I remember. You see, he's the only person I don't mind losing sleep for he's the one I can never get tired of talking to, and the only person that crosses my mind throughout the day. He's the only person who makes me smile without trying, bring down my mood without the intention to and affect my emotions with every action of his. Out of everyone, he's the the one I'm afraid of losing the most and the one I want to keep I my life forever. Now you see why I'm so upset Princess. I can never be small and dainty like you Princess. I can't fit into the building and tend to him and the Captain. But there is one thing I can do for them. Fight with everything I have. That's about it. Y'know, I wish I could be small like you.
