The fire alarm has been going off for about twenty minutes now. It seems to go in an unending loop, never taking a rest. You would think that firetrucks would be rushing to a school whose fire alarm won't shut up, but like me, you thought wrong. I wanted to call the police, but I was too scared that as soon as I made noise I would be found.

I looked around again. There was a window, but it was right below the ceiling. There was little to no chance that I would make it, but there was still a chance.

I went into the stall closest to the wall, and climbed on the toilet. I stepped up next to the handle, and grabbed the stall wall to steady myself. I then stepped on the toilet paper roll holder. After taking I deep breath, I hoisted myself onto the stall wall. I grabbed the window sill to keep myself from falling. I slowly inched my way towards the hatch.

"Come on," I whispered as I tried to unlock the dusty window. It moved slowly, but surely. Finally, it unlocked, and I pushed the window open. I carefully made my way up onto the window sill, and rolled to freedom.
