- I feel obliged to warn you that this chapter is much rather a drabble than anything else, I'm sorry. ~ Talia. xoxo. -
"What was the first song you ever wrote and what was the inspiration?" I asked.
"Who was the first guy you slept with and why?" he replied with a question.
I growled under my breath, getting frustrated with him. "Look, that's private for one, and secondly, you didn't answer my question."
"I chose not to, and so you're a virgin?" he grinned smugly at me.
I kept a blush from rising in my cheeks and clenched my jaw. "Is it legal to hit you or will you get your lawyer to sue?" I asked absentmindedly.
"Oh, I'll sue." He smirked. "That' a yes then?"
"For god's sake-"
"No such thing." He interrupted.
"You're annoying."
"Touché"
I sighed and looked back down at my interview pad, checking what question I had to ask next.
"Which song on your album Set The World On Fire do you think achieves the most musically?" I read out, returning my gaze to Andy.
"Well, which one do you think?"
I opened my mouth, ready to retort – so ready to retort – but I found there was nothing I could say to that. I could hardly say I didn't know any of them, which was the truth, because I got the faintest feeling that would only give Andy all the more ammunition. He'd already seemed to mentally label me useless at this, I didn't need incompetent added to that. And saying none seemed a little harsh... "Just answer the question." I said tersely, before adding on a strained 'please?' at the end.
"Are you just one of those Disney puritans who wait for the one, or are you just that high and mighty. Because, darling, you might be a looker, but I don't think you can afford to be choosy."
"Maybe. But then maybe I'm not some sort of hooker. Maybe I don't want to. Has that not occurred to you? Or do half of my words get tangled in that hair of yours and never make it to your brain?"
"Are you attracted to me?"
There was silence for the longest while. Mine awkward, stuttering, his triumphant and waiting. I tried to force the blush back, but I wasn't sure if I was successful in doing so. I flung the pad down on the coffee table and slumped into the sofa. "This is hopeless. You're hopeless."
"Whoa, don't get grouchy now. Whiny kids stress me out." He taunted.
"I'm twenty."
"Ooh, legal!" he whistled, before sneering "You don't act like it."
"What is this? Like, really? What are you gaining from messing with me?" I asked, sitting up to look at him.
"A good laugh."
"But nothing else. What about the interview? Don't you care that you've fucked it up? Your fans... they'll all be expecting-"
"It's not my problem the interviewer was a shit load of use." Andy stood up but I'd already beaten him to the door.
"You know what? You're a jerk. I'm done with you." I hissed, storming out the room before he could snipe anything back at me.
- How was that for the second chapter? Good, poor? Let me know, drop me a comment, please. I'll be updating soonish, so let's hope you enjoy the story. ~ Talia. xoxo. -
