The hidden sun was setting and the white snow clouds glowed eerily, lit by the last rays of light. As then a bluenette around 14, stared into the dark sky, watching the snow fall. She was amazed at the sight as if it's her first time seeing a snowfall. Her soft hazelnut eyes glows, her cheeks were flustered red because of the coldness, "Hehe snowflakes!" Val tittered as then a familiar guy walks up to her.

"Hey Val, it's been a while since we last met." A tall guy with snow like silky hair which reaches his shoulders, his deep crimson eyes glows a little, a smile cracked on his lips.

The female paced to him, it felt hard for her as if the snow trapped her shoes beneath, "Slow down you might fall down" Shu warned her as he knelt down opening his hands wide to welcome the little girl with a warm hug.

"I missed you!!" Val buried her face into his chest, "You promised you will stay with me till the winter ends! And I have been waiting for it the whole time!" She hugged the albino tightly, her innocent eyes glistened with tears. Happy tears. That feeling when you see that certain person after a long time.

"Yeah, I missed you too. You're doing good right?" Shu ran his slender finger through her soft midnight sky blue hair ruffling it as the snow fell off her hair. The crimson eyed male gently caressed Val in his arms, he handled her as like a flower. Gentle and soft not wanting to hurt the younger one.

"Yep! I have two best friends now! They're so nice to me. I want you to meet them" Val said looking up at his crimson hues.

"I told you sweetheart. I can't. And even when you get older I'll erase your memories with me. For the sake of both of us." Shu thought.

His mind might say that easily yet his lips quivered afraid of those words to escape, he's madly in love with the bluenette but fate never really listened to those pleadings of the star crossed lovers? No, it never listen to anyone.

"Yeah maybe someday. Let's go for a walk now." Shu forced a smile as he lifted Val in his arms, "Woah you have certainly grown up into a young lady." He could feel how much his little best friend has grown over these years. They last met on the previous winter festival which was celebrated by the people of this village, for every six years once, where Val was small and thin like a feather.

"Of course I'm!" Val pouted because Shu still thought of her as a 8 year old.

She still remember how she met him in the woods, his crimson eyes pitied her. Not because she was exposed to danger, but because she's hurt by those wolf pack. That day Shu saved her life. If he wasn't there on the right time, Val wouldn't be here living her life. That time she was so afraid of being helpless.

"Mmm,... where am I.." Val was lost in the crowd, she got separated from her grandmother who take her to the festival. All she saw was strangers around, some of them came with their partners, family, friends to spend time together in the festival. The stalls were busy with customers and it was crowded like usual. Soon there will be fireworks lightening the dark sky.

She was scared, her innocent hazelnut eyes formed tears, "I'm lost.." She start weeping as she paced around not knowing where she is going. This was her first time here, before that she lives with her parents in the city, since she get holidays so she came to the village to stay with grandmother who she loves the most. Out of all the people only her grandmother understands her and Val loves hearing her bed time stories. Within minutes the bluenette find a path to the forest nearby, she saw a baby wolf. Instantly grabbing Val's attention as the little girl followed out of curiosity.

"Hey puppy wait" She run after the baby wolf mistaken it as puppy.

The more she went deeper into the forest, the more dangers awaits for her. The forest lies before the mountain, where it was rumoured to be scary creatures roaming around the mountains. The villagers never dare to step inside the forest nor the mountain, knowing about how dangerous it can be. But visitors from other places were excited to explore the forest, despite being warned by the village's chief, some of them went to explore the forest to post it on the social media for views. And yet none of them returned back. Not even a single trace of them can be find. It's like they vanished into the thin air.
