5. Knowing You

We get to do anything we want on Saturdays. After Elise going through my traumatic childhood, I truly deserve a rest day.

I walk down to the garage expecting to find Noah or Kai at garage but I find Theo alone instead.

"Well hello, going for a ride?" Theo looks at me as I walk down the stairs, "uh yeah... Are you?" I asked, walking towards my motorcycle.

Theo raises his eyebrows in surprise, "I did not know that that bike is yours." He says with a small smile on his face.

"Which of it is yours?" I asked.

"That white bike beside yours is mine and that the car right at the front is mine too." Theo says walking over to it.

"Want to ride with me?" Theo ask, "you will feel like you're in a rollercoaster." Theo gets into the driver's seat and open up the garage door.

"C'mon."

I run over to his car and got into the passenger seat, "let me know if you're scared okay." Theo says, looking at me.

"Okay." Theo reverse his car speedily and drove out to the main road, not letting go of the accelerator.

"What the fuck," I laughed out loud as we sped through the city.

He slows down at a traffic light and let out a breath as if he was holding it.

I looked around at the stores that were opened, a bakery that is only opened from 10 to 3pm and a Chinese restaurant that only allow pick ups and delivery from 9am to 12pm.

I know they are opened for much longer back then, with things happening in the past years... You might never know what will happen next.

"So where were you from?" Theo asked as he drives us through Time Square.

"I was from California, Ramona. We have a big farm house for... Everyone, y'know?" I replied to his question, "how about you?" I asked.

Theo shrugs, "I have always been here in New York, I was an orphan then Elise adopted me." Theo says, "she is a mother... She always had food on the table and give me clothes to wear but, she don't love me."

I nod my head at his reply, "because we are experiments after all." I stated.

Theo smiles a little at the statement, "yep." He says in agreement.

After driving around for awhile more, we head back to the headquarters.

"Hey Chelsea, you went for a ride already?" Noah says as Theo drives into the garage.

"Oh I was just riding around with Theo," I got out of Theo's car. "Jace is looking for you, something about Amber and Ryder." Kai fills me in.

Oh right, we are going to go the beach. "Sorry Noah." I apologise and went up the stairs.

I came back down after getting Amber, Ryder, Rue and Gabe. "Want to join us, Theo?" Jake ask.

Theo looks at us and shrugs, "it will be fun." Jake assured him.

"Let's go!" Lea runs down the steps and throws her bags into her car.

Theo shrugs his shoulder and chuckles, "okay."

I got onto my motorcycle and followed Noah closely behind.

There is people on the beach, not much but mostly families. They begin to look at us strangely, which I understand, we are a big group.

Jake is setting up the volleyball net so they can play beach volleyball. I kept my eyes on our younger siblings. I keep a very close eye on them whenever we are out, we will never know the second we look away... They will be gone.
