*Ellie's POV*

Andy pulled away, saying, "No, no, she's drunk, she doesn't know what she's doing..." He stood and rushed out of the bus, but just stood behind it, running his hand through his hair.

I stared at my fingers; how long had I been dreaming of this moment? I may have had a few drinks, but I knew exactly what was happening.

I kissed Andy. I kissed Dee, my oldest and best friend.

My mouth felt numb, but I could feel it shape into a smile.

I stood and left the bus as quietly as possible. I trudged around to the other side, where I could see Andy hunched over a small light. He was lighting a cigarette and muttering to himself.

"Since when do you smoke?" I ask. I see him jump and drop his lighter, which makes me smile and laugh to myself. He stoops down to pick up the metal lighter and gives me a hard look.

"I don't know, since it was legal? Why do you care?" he states. I walk closer and face him. He just stares at a mound of snow in the parking lot, twirling the cigarette in his fingers.

"I never pegged you the type," I said. Andy just laughs and looks at me.

"I'm, uh, sorry. Sorry for the, uh, thing Back there. I didn't know what I was doing and I -"

"Andy, it's fine. Honestly. You're not bad," I laughed, which got him to smile. "I, um -"

"Look, let's just pretend it never happened, yeah? It was a spur of the moment thing," Andy says, the grin leaving his face. He turns and walks back to the entrance of the bus.

"No, Andy, wait," I call out. My brain was screaming in pain from the amount of alcohol I had drained, but it was telling me to stop him.

He stopped abruptly and turned on his heel. He took out his cigarette, ashes falling from it like dark rain. He raised an eyebrow, but I continued to walk closer to him.

"Andy, you were my best friend when we were little. And then, you left, and you didn't call or anything. We didn't meet up, we didn't see each other for ten years." I was saying every little thing I had thought of since that day.

Andy looked down, but I continued, "Did you even miss me? Did I go through your head even once? Because it didn't look like it. And, believe me, I am so glad were touring together. Honestly, I've never been happier. But I missed your dumb, pretty face and -"

"Wait, you think I'm pretty?"

"Shut up."

"Ellie, I -"

"No, stop it."

"Ell, I have a thing to say."

"No, me first; Andy, I -"

"I like you a lot, Ell."

"OK, that's good, 'cause I like you, too."

Andy started laughing which made me start laughing. It started snowing again, so I looked up and watched the white flurries fall down.

I looked back at Andy, only to see him already looking at me with a weird look in his eye.

It was the same look that Taylor gets when she notices we're pulling into a McDonald's, or when Ashley heard the iPhone is getting new emojis.

It was a mix of excitement and adoration.

I didn't know what was happening at the time, but I liked the feeling that was erupting in my chest when I look at him.
