7 : Cute Couple

I had gotten back to work after the whipping cream incident that took place due to Jungkook's inability of listening to me.

"Aren't you gonna teach me how to do that?" I heard his voice from behind as I took the order of a guy.

"You have experience in all of this and you're watching which is more then enough". I said I proceeded with making the bill.

"Yeah but I haven't done counter duty before". He said I took in a deep breath.

This is so frustrating. I just want to go home already.

My feet....

I sighed as I shifted my weight from my left leg to my right and signaled him to come forward.

"Here, stand next to me and watch". I said and soon enough felt his presence next to me.

"Hello ma'am, may I take your order?" I asked to the woman who stood next in line and soon in front of me.

"Yes, can I have a caramel macchiato with two pumps of vanilla".

"A caramel macchiato with two pumps of vanilla coming right up! Please take this buzzer with you and soon you'll be notified when your order is ready!" I said with a smile on my face and she nodded.

"Cute couple". She commented and left with the buzzer in her hand and I stood with blushed cheeks while Jungkook snickered behind me.

I elbowed him in the stomach when he wouldn't stop giggling even when a customer came up to the counter.

"Can I have my bill please?" He asked as he handed over the buzzer and I handed it over to Jungkook who stacked it up on the corner.

"Yes of course sir, just give me a minute...would you like extra points?"

"Yes".

"Alright please give me your phone number". I asked and he did, soon enough I guided Jungkook on how to make the bill and let him take over the counter duty while I worked behind, on the orders.

I stood on the other side cleaning up the slab a little when the monitor beeped indicating a new order that Jungkook took.

Double shot espresso with two pumps of almond milk.

I grabbed a cocktail shaker and filled it with ice, working my hands quick and I grabbed the shots,pouring it over the ice I soon added the syrup as well.

Covering it with its lid I shook the shaker well with my hands and soon drained the creamy texture I gained into the plastic cup, as it was ordered for takeout.

I added two pumps of almond milk and a fine amount of cream before covering the drink with a lid and setting the order upon a tray and handing it over to Jungkook who placed it where the orders are taken away from.

It was an hour later when we were officially closed for the day and I was finishing up with cleaning the mess of the day from the slab and counter.

Jungkook used a wet cloth to wipe over the other slab while I stacked up the plastic cups and straws for tomorrow.

"Thank you...for leading me through today". I heard him say after clearing his throat.

"It's no big deal". I said in a drained voice.

"You seem tired enough as it as..you can leave I'll take care of it from here". He offered in a kind voice.

"What kind of a co worker would I be if I left a newbie all alone to close up the shop". I teased and he chuckled.

"Look I uh...I wanted to apologize". He started and my back tensed as I moved on to wiping the counter clean.

"For being a world class jerk the other day...it was wrong of me.."

"Well...it very wrong of me.. I'm really sorry..."

Ah well, at least he apologized.

"I guess it's okay...we're kinda gonna be stuck with each other for as long as we work here anyways so there's no point in holding grudges". I said, turning around to face him.

"Ah yeah, thank you". He grinned with world famous smile plastered on his face.

"I know it's none of my business but..uh... that pregnancy test...was it really yours?" He asked in a small voice and my heart dropped to my stomach yet I composed myself quickly.

"No, like I said...it belongs to a friend, I like carrying around my friends pregnancy tests in my backpack". I said yet again, sarcastically rolling my eyes.

"So it is yours indeed....well uh...congratulations..." he said more like a question.

Well...he's the second person to find out I guess... little baby people are starting to find out about you.

"Thank you". I said with a small smile.

I had sent Jungkook home when he had insisted on staying until I leave so now I was alone in the cafè getting ready to go, in the staff room when I recalled that Roseanne asked me to meet her back her, but she's already gone..

I brought out my phone from my bag and searched for her contact, calling her.

And soon enough I heard her voice saying hello.

"Roseanne, you asked me to wait up for you..I'm here but it seems like you left".

"Right! I am so sorry I had to go due to something but yes! Check under your backpack! I left an envelope there! Open it!" She said and I heard a lot of commotion from her side.

"Ah that's okay, right..I'll check." I lifted my bag up from the locker and a pink envelope rested on the flat surface, I picked it up.

"Yeah, the envelope is here..."

"Open it!" I heard her say and I opened the envelope and saw money.

"By now I'm now sure you see money in there! It's your paycheck with extra bonus for your service". She said.

"Wait...Roseanne...this is a lot..." I said I counted the money. It was a 100 dollars more then what I was to receive.

"It's all good beautiful, it was about time to up your salary as well and consider it a gift from me. Buy yourself a nice meal!". She said and I nodded even though she couldn't see.

"Thank you Roseanne, this means a lot". I genuinely thanked her and her sweet laugh through the phone.

"Adios my beautiful". I heard her say before she cut off the call.

I can buy a meal today....
