"The bitterness of my own blood was pooling in my mouth, a sickly metallic taste. I looked him square in his silver eyes and chuckled, the blood dripping down the corners of my mouth" "You're going to regret that"
---------------------------------------------------------
The slap landed perfectly on the left side of my face, right in the centre of my cheek. It forced my head to turn sharply to the right and left a slight, tolerable sting in it's wake. I chuckled weakly to myself at the audacity of it, surely I'm worth a punch at the very least? Not this weak excuse of a slap. I turned my head back to look at him and raised my eyebrow at him. "Was that it? Seriously?" I asked, my voice laced with disappointment. The ghost of a smirk twitched at the corners of his lips as he bent his muscular torso down so he was face-to-face with me. His eyes were a dull silver, amusement and anger resting uneasily behind them, he had a hooked nose, full lips, and heart-shaped head. This mans hair could only be described as raven black, short and slicked back. His body was framed with an almost too tight white shirt, with the sleeves rolled up, showing off his veiny, muscular arms. Black suit trousers and smart looking shoes occupied his lower half. If I had to take a guess, I'd say this man was in his early forties, based on the few wrinkles that was located on his face, he was an attractive looking guy if I do say so myself.
"I'm not playing games with you sweetheart, you have absolutely no idea who I am and what I am capable off" He threatened, his voice coated with a thick, yet understandable, Russian accent. My teeth connected to my bottom lip as I had to bite back a laugh. "And you have absolutely no idea how little I care about this confrontation" I snarked back at him. "You're in a bit of a sticky situation to be getting cheeky to me. I'd suggest you start being respectful and tell me what I want to know" He said through gritted teeth. My arms and legs were currently secured to an old wooden chair with rope, my fingers could just about reach the knot and I began getting to work getting it off, or at least getting it loose enough. He reached towards the back of his trousers and pulled what looked like a folded piece of paper out of his pocket, my eyes was fixated as he began to unfold the piece of paper. A photograph of a young woman was shoved in my face, she had long flowing black hair, obviously from her father, dark emerald eyes and a huge smile. Everything began making sense and I smirked. The man in front of me was Ivan Sokolov- The picture was of Irina Sokolov, the last person before this capture that I had killed. She had been apart of a huge trafficking gang that I single-handedly took down a few weeks ago. Bet her good old daddy doesn't know that his sweet, innocent daughter was actually a disgusting excuse of a human being.
Very swiftly, he tucked the photo back into his pocket and continued to look at me. "Where is my daughter?" He sneered venomously towards me. My fingers were still playing with the knots that attached my hands to the back of the chair. "What I do and don't do in terms of my...disposals is nothing to do with you" His entire body tensed at my reply and his breathing became ragged. The knot became loose and I held it in my hands so he still thought my hands were tied together. Anger and rage overcame him and he screamed, "Are you saying you killed my daughter? You killed my precious Irina?" He shouted, spit flying in my face. I visablly grimaced at the moisture making contact with my face and looked at him. I twisted my lips into a smile and looked at him. " No comment" I said in a high pitched, teasing tone. In a flash, he had stood up and was towering over me, his arm raised high in the air. He fisted his hand and slammed it down onto my cheek, he made my face turn violently again and before I could recover, the other side of my face was punched too. Pain vibrated throughout my face and cheek, but it was nothing I couldn't tolerate. He landed a punch again, but this time my cheek landed in my teeth, causing my teeth to tear a gash inside my mouth. He stopped punching when he saw the blood drip down my mouth, thinking he had caused enough damage.
He bent down in front of me and looked at me, I turned my head to face him. The bitterness of my own blood was pooling in my mouth, a sickly metallic taste. I looked him square in his silver eyes and chuckled, the blood dripping down the corners of my mouth "You're going to regret that" I dropped the rope and put my hands on either side of his face, I forcefully collided my head into his nose, leaving a satisfactory cracking noise and a squirt of blood. He outwardly shouted and he fell backwards due to the force of the headbutt. I stood up and bent my knees down as far as I could and jumped backwards. The noise of the rotting chair breaking apart sounded beneath me, I slid away from the chairs legs and placed both hands next to my head, I bent them a little and used the force of that bend to flip me back onto my feet. I grabbed one of the chair legs that resided next to me and I sauntered over to the cowardly excuse of a man. He shuffled back slowly but I caught up to him. With my foot, I pushed him back to the floor and I pressed my boot into the crook of his throat, allowing just enough air so that he could breath. "Let's get something straight, sweetheart" I sneered. " I only kill pieces of shit, I only dispose of those who aren't worth any oxygen" I pressed my foot in a little bit more and bent down so I was almost face to face. "Maybe you should think about where your daughter got her shitty genes from. I know who you are, Ivan, and I know what you do at your so called company. Stealing donations from the charities that sponsor you? Then blaming your secretary? What a low-life scum" I spat venomously towards him. His eyes widened to the sound of his name and his actions and he began to tear up. I raised the chair leg above me and before he could so much as beg for his life, I brought it down hard on his skull. It cracked beneath the force and his body went limp. I hit him a few more times, leaving slight explosions of blood in its wake. Stepping back off his throat, I threw away the chair leg and took in a deep breath. I raised my hand to my cheek and felt the swelling already taking place. "Damn it" I muttered to myself. Slowly I backed away from Ivans dead body and took in my surroundings, it looks like I'm in some run-down, abandoned building. Piles of bricks scattered all along the length of the building, it was only a small building, I had the ability to see the other side of it. Everything was covered in bricks, dust or webs. I walked towards a hole that I saw in the side of the building and bent down to climb through it, accidentally scrapping my knee against the top of the wall, leaving a bit of dust on my black skinny jeans. It was day-time outside and I could see the busy streets ahead of me. I moved forward, refusing to look at the piece of shit behind me.
Swarms of cars took over the roads, and made an awful lot of noise. I headed to the nearby footpath and started walking alongside the traffic. I pulled the hood of my leather jacket over my head and shoved my hands in my pocket. Some of my chocolate brown locks fell gracefully over my eyes, but I honestly couldn't bring myself to care. I looked down, avoiding making any contact with people as I walked. The street of New York were all too familiar to me, so I decided my next plan of action would be to go to my apartment, based over the top of some family run cafe. I slowly headed that way, while also getting lost in my own thoughts. How did Ivan find me?
