"Selen!"

Ah! There it is, my saving grace.

Overwhelmed by the numbness, I felt nothing but the unbearable pain brought by him, and for some unknown reason, my heart sank.

"Selen, are you alright?" I opened my eyes, and a blurry image welcomed me.

"I'm sorry...I'm sorry." That familiar bitchy voice.

My face felt the softness of water as it touches my skin.

"You're crying," I said raspily.

"Of course, I'm crying, you dumb bitch! It's my fault for leaving your side," she wailed.

"You look like Squidward, Rosetta," I joked.

My sight slowly came to normal, and I saw Rosetta tending to me.

She covered my body with a blanket.

My eyes lingered on Pierre, with Ropeert restraining him.

Pierre was going berserk, glaring at me with murder in his eyes.

I found myself stifling a cry like my body was telling me to fear him, and I realize, at that time, that we will never be the same again.

Ropeerto knocked Pierre in the neck, causing him to lay unconscious.

"Your majesty..." Ropeert trailed off and looked at me pitifully.

I hate it. A queen should never receive such a look.

I crumpled the portion of the blanket in my hand and shoved it closer to my body.

"Leave," I ordered.

He heaved a sigh and gave me a bow, carrying the prince out of my quarters.

As soon as the door closed, I felt my body collapsed on Rosetta's arms. All the hatred, humiliation, and confusion that was bottled inside me surfaced.

I screamed and screamed. I wailed in frustration.

"I won't let him hurt you again," she said.

Hearing her words brought comfort to my soul. Soon I felt my consciousness drifting.

It has been a month since the incident between us royals.

Pierre and I have never since then crossed paths. Rosetta and Ropeert made sure of that.

"Loving' the peace, aren't you?"

I grinned at Rosetta as she placed a tea on the table.

"This is why I love the royal garden," I inhaled.

"And you've been abusing my kindness since then," she retorted.

"Oh, come on Aning, I am your queen. Your kindness is a must."

She rolled her eyes at me. "Don't call me by that name."

"We're the only ones here, liven up girl," I teased.

"Anyway, I have some good news for you," she started.

I raised my eyebrow at her.

"Sper is here," she informed.

"Spear? I asked.

"Ugh! Why do you have to be so stupid," she taunted.

I glared at her while pointing my fingers.

She exhaled most irritatingly, "Sper Yancy Fitzhugh is here!"

"Why didn't you say so?" I squealed.
