Eleanor came down for breakfast and was confused to see that Liam wasn't there. She smiled at her aunt and greeted her "good morning," as she took a seat.
"Liam's out with some mates," Karen informed. "Went to play golf. You were too deeply asleep, so didn't want to wake you up."
"Oh," Eleanor realized how late she had slept last night after getting drenched and coming across the very insolent Louis Tomlinson. "When's he gonna be back?"
"No idea, honestly," Karen rolled her eyes. "What are your plans for the weekend?"
"I guess I'll hangout with Li tomorrow," Eleanor sighed. "Today, I'll just look around town."
"Okay, dear," Karen smiled. "But just be careful. I mean, it is a safe town but you're new-"
"Auntie, I'll be fine!" Eleanor smiled. "I'm eighteen years old, remember?"
"Yes, yes," Karen chuckled. "But it's still my responsibility to look out for you."
"And you're doing a damn good job!"
Southwold was very welcoming and friendly according to Eleanor. She walked on the streets and even if she mistakenly made eye-contact with someone, they smiled, she did too. The streets were usually calm and vintage. The beachy wind was constantly there and the saltiness was satisfying.
Eleanor, mindlessly, walked around town and entered a busy street. Shops everywhere, cafes, bakeries, restaurants etc. She was fairly confused after being through such a quiet beachside town and suddenly coming across to a bustling area, busier than the beachside spots.
"Number 70 High Street," a voice said from behind Eleanor and she almost jumped off her feet, "busiest in town."
Eleanor turned around to take a good look at the person and her face fell, "you!"
"Yes, me."
"Are you stalking me?" Eleanor kept a glare on.
"Well," he leaned in closer, "wouldn't you love that?" he slurred.
"Back off, Tomlinson!" Eleanor took a step back.
"Seriously, why do you hate me?" Louis was offended.
"What's not to hate? Cockiness? Bullying-"
"Pranking," he corrected her.
"My brother hates you, eventually I should too," Eleanor walked off.
"Stop walking away," Louis pulled her wrist and stopped her.
"Don't touch me!" she snapped.
"Woah okay," he rolled his eyes and let go of her.
"Why are you after me?" Eleanor asked, tired of him.
"Because you-"
"Because I'm a new young girl in town and you've already spanked every existing one?" she sarcastically snapped.
"No!" Louis was deeply offended. "Why are you so entitled to your opinion? You only met me once and I know it wasn't a perfect one but you are far too mean than I expected. Also, just because of what Payne said, you hate me? Where is your judgement of character?! What happened to 'I'm my own person' crap?!"
Louis huffed after ranting and Eleanor was honestly taken aback. She hadn't expected him to clap back at her. He did make a few valid points but he seemed too confident for Eleanor's usual type. Confidence was necessary for her but Louis, he was too sure of himself.
