In Ai's room, Nieru sat while Ai styled her hair and makeup. Ai wanted her to look nice for it. She knew that Shi wouldn't mind how she usually looked but it added to the formality and the atmosphere of it all.
"Ai! You have a friend here!" Ai's mother called up the stairs.
"Oh no.." Nieru said, "please don't be Rika, please don't be Rika.." Nieru repeated to herself before the door opened
It was Rika.
"What's all this?" Rika asked as she shut the door.
"Ummm...." Ai looked to Nieru to which Nieru shook her head, "Sorry, it's a secret!"
"Come on! What is it" Rika said as she looked to Nieru. Rika checked her out head to toe.
"This isn't anything for business or your company is it. That's way too girly." Rika began to grin.
Nieru remained silent before her phone rang to which she quickly decline the call not wanting to fuel Rika's fire.
"Hm, must be doing something important right now." Shi said as he slid his phone into his pocket.
"Waiting for someone, Akihito?" His landlord says as he walked through the gate that lead to his patio.
"Don't ever call me that again, call me Shi or call me Boy." You've got to be really important to me to use that name.
"I'm your landlord. I'm important to you."
"Knock on my door with a beer and then we'll talk" Shi joked to which the two of them laughed, "Honestly Sir, I appreciate your hospitality letting me stay here even though I'm not of legal age to do so,"
"You pay rent on time more than alot of my residents do, you proved that your more than worthy of living in one of my houses,"
"Thank you, Sir" Shi remembers what the man originally asked, "Oh, to answer your question I am waiting on someone right now as a matter of fact. A really nice girl, I'm gonna cook dinner for the both of us"
"Which one of those 4?"
"Don't go getting the wrong idea sir, they only just friends to me, well the other 3 are. I'm not sure about the one, only time will tell"
"Alright boy, Enjoy yourself and make good decisions Alright?"
"I will be sure to make only the best decisions, Sir"
"Goodbye, kid"
"I'll see you around, Sir", the landlord and him had a funny relationship, akin to that of a father. Shi loved and appreciated his real father, his whole family actually. However, the landlord had taught him alot, from how to fix car problems, how to mow a lawn, plumbing and renovation advice. He was a real help to Shi when teaching him alot about life. It meant alot to him.
Back at Ai's house,
"It's Shi isn't it! ISN'T IT?" Rika teased Nieru. Nieru's face was slightly red but you couldn't tell if she was embarrassed or really pissed off.
"Ai, are we finished?" Nieru asked
"Yes, we are. Doesn't she look so pretty?" Ai asks Rika
"Oh absolutely! In a housewife kind of way" Rika jokes
"I'd rather look more natural then a doll thank you very much" Nieru snaps back.
"So when are you going to go on your date with your boyfriend?" Rika asks
"Soon, I should be there now, also he's not my boyfriend" Nieru grabbed her phone and left.
"Is she walking there?" Rika asks,
"I don't know?" Ai replies.
Shi got his grill started outside, he was going to cook a steak, simple, easy and yet delicious. He was also going to make some grilled tomatos on the side. This meal was sure to please anyone.
"...Hello, Shi" a voice called to him.
"Hm?, Oh! H-hi Nieru!" Shi looked to her. Nieru looked stunning to him, "I must say, you're looking great today. I've wondered how your hair looks down. It looks amazing" Shi said before he got his focus back to the grill.
"You look very nice yourself," Nieru said to him, she was blushing from the compliment.
"Oh, thank you. I just got this new shirt." Shi said to her, "The foods almost done. I forgot to bring out drinks. If you want some help yourself. They are all in the fridge." He told her.
"I can wait" She said to him. She was texting Ai on her phone,

Nieru: He loves my hair! Thank you!
Ai: Your welcome. How does he look?
Nieru: *pic of him at the grill*
"Ai": HE LOOKS LIKE A DAD LMAOOOOO
Ai: sorry! Rika took my phone
Nieru: He's finishing up with the food. Ttyl

"Here it is, Steak with a side of Grilled Tomatoes, Nothing 5 star but I hope it's good enough" He says as he puts the plates down on the table, "I'll go get the drinks" He heads into the house. Shi's heart was racing. He could only hope that he did his cooking well, First impressions last a lifetime after all.
"Okay! Here's the drinks," Shi sits down at the table with her. They begin to eat.
"Is it good?" Shi asks.
"Very, It's very nice. I'd be willing to say perfect" Nieru said to him.
"Oh please, your too kind to me"
Shi received a text from Rika. It read "How's your date going???"
"Oh Rika, She's so funny!" Shi said, "She just asked how the date was going"
"Rika needs to learn how to climb out people's asses"
Shi burst out laughing, "I couldn't agree more!" Nieru eventually joined him in laughing.
"Oh, she doesn't mean any harm though. I'd say this is going well wouldn't you?"
"I'd say so" Nieru replies
"Is this your first?" Shi asks
"First what?"
"First date"
"Oh, uhmm. Is that what this is?"
Shi looked around, "I mean, dinner, in the evening, the two of us together? I'd say that classifies as a dinner date does it not?"
"I-I guess" Nieru blushed a little, 'A dinner date?' She thought to herself.
