The late, rainy  night was calm as always. George sat behind the counter and read a new love story that one of the clients had recommended right before they left. He sank into the perfectly described love between two souls that never got to meet at the end. His endless thinking and enjoyment from the story was interrupted b y a new costumer walking in. The tall man was in a black coat and George could tell he was here the first time. George stood up and went to greet the costumer. As he went closer he could tell the customers height,  hair color, all the small details. He was few inches taller than George and had dirty blond hair.

"Welcome, how may I help, if needed of course." George gave the costumer a small smile and waited for the answer.

"Umm, I'm looking for a place to read some books, that's the reason why I came here." The tall man smiled at the brunette.

"Oh sure, you can look for books there and there" George points at the large dark book shelves all around the place. "There we have a quiet place and I'm sure you would like to enjoy the place. You know, to read?" George smiled. No reason, just to be nice.

"Thank you, also, could you help me find a book?" The tall man hang his rain coat and started to follow George.

"Sure, any exact needs or recommendations?"

"Recommendations, that would be nice, something from romance could be awesome."

"Romance, good genre, my favorite." George liked the job at library because of this reason. He could meet new people, talk to strangers and be somewhere near himself, not all the way though.

"Oh, mine too, romance is just always so well written." The stranger smiled and followed George to one of the sections.

"This is my favorite, it is a long love story about this couple, war and how they could never be together because of reasons, I recommend this one. Of course if your not homophobic or anything." George started to look around for more books. Just for safety.

Before he could give any more books to read, the taller male stopped him.

"I'll take this one, it sounds cool and homophobic people are shit, just saying." He smiled at George and started to go to the area where other people would read or work at their computers.

Few hours passed, George was done wit the long book, almost tearing up he went to put the book down where it should be and checked the time. It was almost 3am. About the end of his shift. He had 15 minutes to do something, so he just looked at the costumers, some of them had left, some just came in, some still reading. His eyes scanned the costumers and landed on the blonde male he had helped earlier. He was coming his way.

"How was the book?"

"I have never read anything better than this, I agree, it is really good work. The way the two boys just fall apart at the end is just heart breaking." The blonde male gave George back the book and smiled.

"Also my name is Clay. I think you will have a new regular." He smiled again. George looked at him and shacked his hand.

"George, I work night shifts at weekdays here. Except Thursdays." He smiled and went to put the love story back at its place.

Clay followed George. George felt the soft footsteps so he started a friendly conversation.

"So, you moved here? Haven't ever seen you."

"Yeah, about a week ago I bought a small house somewhere in this place, nice and quiet."

"Oh, nice. This library is open 24/7 so you can visit when ever you'd like."

"Cool, but I do have collage so not every day I could come at daytime. That is actually reason I moved here, Collage is pretty near and they don't offer dorms."

"Oh, nice"  George looked at the clock and the time had just turned to 3am.

"Well, my shift just ended, I have school tomorrow, have to go." Right as he said that the entrance doors opened and Will came inside. He went closer to the both males and greeted both of them.

"Greetings, George do you need a ride home? It is pouring outside." Wilbur smiled and shook Clays hand. Just to be polite.

"Oh, sure, thank you Clay for coming, hope to see you here again." George smiled and left the tall man stand in the dark library. To be honest, Clay stood there not sad, more like- In love. He had fallen for a boy from only one time meeting him. Is that how love from the first sight feels?
