"I'm pretty sure this wound would heal itself, Vik. You don't have to waste time on me. I don't exactly have the money on me either to pay you back..." V started, as she sat on the chair, hesitant to relax back onto it.
"It's okay, V. You don't have to pay me anything. Look, Johnny was just helping you. Your wound will not heal itself, if it gets infected, it could kill you. He's looking out for you, like Jackie did."
"Johnny is nothing like Jackie! When I first met Jack, he's looked out for me, worried about me since we arrived in Night City. Johnny was slowly and painfully taking my life away from me when I first met him."
"I know Johnny is nothing like Jackie, V. He's not replacing him, he's looking out for you. I'm just sayin', Johnny cares about you, just as much as Jackie did. You may say you are okay, but deep down, he knows you are hurting. If he didn't realise, you would've gone straight home with him. You are best friends for a reason. Let's get you patched up, and ready to go home."
You didn't say anything else, you just contemplated what Vik said throughout the whole procedure, and the ride home.
Delamin also insisted on taking you home, due to your sustained injury. When you got home, you heard the shower running in the bathroom. Johnny must be in there. You decided to head straight to you room. You got changed, tied your hair up, and just sat on your bed, and waited. You didn't want to talk to him at the moment, so you were waiting for him to go into his room, so you could use the bathroom. You eventually heard the shower come to a stop, and waited for the usual sound of Johnny's room door shutting. There was always a small creak before it shut fully, that's how you knew. You waited a few more moments, but the sound never came.
You waited a few more minutes, deciding to clean your room up a little to pass the time. No creaking door. Now you were getting impatient. What was he doing? You couldn't wait any longer, so you opened the door ajar, so you could see what was happening without showing your presence. You didn't believe what you saw. Johnny Silverhand... cooking. He had already set the table. Usually, you and him would have a pizza, finishing off with a couple of beers on the rare occasion. Most of the time, you cooked, making use of whatever was in the fridge or the cupboard. He has never cooked in front of you before, and you hoped that he has cooked before in his past. You had nothing against his skills, just that you've never seen him in the kitchen, using the stove. You shut the door again, making sure not to make any noise, and just waited. Eventually, you could smell light tinges of what he was cooking. It smelt like beef, but you couldn't be certain. Wait, you didn't have beef at home. Did he go food shopping as well? You couldn't help but smile, even though you did have a moan at him for helping you, he was still there when you didn't expect him to be.
You had a feeling he spent a while preparing what he's done so far, so you wanted to take a little time too. You took your hair tie out, and brushed your hair. You wished you could just walk out there and shower, but you had a feeling he would stop and talk. If he did that, like Jackie did one time, he would get distracted by you and forget the oven. You remembered the time that Jackie had a similar incident.
"Hey, Jackie!" you exclaimed, smiling.
"Hola, Chica, I wasn't expecting you to come over today. What's up?"
"Just thought you'd miss this face if I didn't come over. Just finished another gig, from Regina."
"What'd you do this time?"
"Had to help someone, get them out of their motel room without being noticed. At first, there was nobody even around, but as I got the man to follow me, I walked out and saw that the place was crowded with Maelstrom. Got out with no problem though, they didn't even see me."
