"already told you." i say.

"well, i want more details." she tells me, resting her chin in her hand as her arm plops onto the armrest. i look over at her adorable expression and chuckle.

"so impatient." i tease.

"excuse me for being excited," she rolls her eyes and continues facing towards me.

"what?" i ask, looking down at her.

"you're cute." she says.

i feel my cheeks become hot and quickly try to recover, "oh? getting bold, are we?" i joke.

"ya know when someone compliments you, you say thank you!" she slumps.

"you're cute." i tell her.

"you-" she angrily starts. i cut her off with a chuckle and continue driving. "imagine teasing your date the whole time" she groans.

"open." she says more sternly. i roll my eyes and oblige. i open my mouth a bit as she feeds me a strawberry.

"how's it taste?" she asks.

"like a fucking strawberry." i say.

"no need to snap. just a question." she slumps.

"well, babe, that was a stupid question, what did you want me to say? 'oh, it tastes exquisite.'"

"i mean it would've been nice!" we both laugh and continue feeding each other the food i prepared.

"tell me about yourself," she says as she gets comfortable and lays her head on my lap.

i lean back as i look up at the sky, "well what do you wanna know about me?"

"how tall are you?"

"favorite food?"

"strawberry shortcake,"

"favorite sport?"

"volleyball,"

"your answers are very short." she scoffs.

"you want me to drag them? i'll spell them out if you'd like." i joke.

"you're so stupid." she rolls her eyes and tilts her head away from me.

"oh, i just know your smiling right now, pipsqueak."

"am not." she mumbles.

"uh huh." i laugh.

she lets out a short giggle and looks back up at me. we lock eyes and look at each other for a while.
