Mirror Ani glared into Ani's soul. "You think that her mortality will stop me? You think you can control me?" She had said. "You think you hold any power over me?"
The mirror image turned to Aeriin's reflection, who was looking at Ani with a worried expression. The false Anikke gently ran her fingers over Aeriin's flawless skin, with a devilish smile crossing her lips.
"Look at how she looks at us. She'll never see it coming." Mirror Ani looked through the mirror back at the real Ani.
"When our teeth sink into her throat before tearing it out."
Ani sat up with a jump. Her eyes looking around her dark room. She spotted her mirror, which someone had covered with a sheet. Not only that, but most of it was blocked by her new TV.
She thought about getting up today, but staying in bed felt so much better. Her covers were warm, and toasty and it-
Wait, Ani's dead. Her covers shouldn't be warm.
She quickly turned her head, finding Aeriin laying beside her. The hunter's arms wrapped tightly around Ani's mid section, holding the vampire close.
Ani relaxed, knowing it was Aeriin who she was sleeping with. She didn't remember much of the previous night, and was glad she wasn't with Taraka. If she was, then she would disembowel the tricky Succubus.
Aeriin merely rubbed her head into the vampire's shoulder, getting Ani to smile softly, where she let her eyes close again.
Then, to ruin the moment, an alarm clock went off, getting Ani to hiss in annoyance before burying her head under the pillows.
"Good morning." Aeriin yawned before reaching over and shutting off the alarm.
"Horrible! Horrible morning! Why must you wake yourself up with that disgusting racket?" Ani asked.
"Because we have school." Aeriin answered.
Ani groaned again.
"The four of us are going to car pool." Aeriin explained. "Let's get ready. Come on, get up." She smiled as the vampire lazily dragged herself out of bed. "Do you remember anything about last night?"
"No... did I do something bad?"
"Thankfully no." Aeriin laughed. "After you had your moment with the mirror you, Taraka suggested you have a drink, which was laced with Nightshade, which you willingly accepted, knowing it was there, because I asked you nicely."
"If I was drunk I would have broken a lot of things." Ani said as she pointed threateningly at Aeriin, only to find a ring on her middle finger. When she looked at her other hand, she found the same ring on that hand too. "You put seals on me!?"
"The Guild gave those to me so you wouldn't alert anyone with your inhuman strength at school. They also limit your blood cravings, but those will come back when you take them off, so you should still drink blood." Aeriin explained.
Ani nodded and the two got dressed. Aeriin went upstairs to take a shower, while Ani just got dressed. Her magic prevented any filth from getting on her body, but she still showered a couple times a week just for the feeling.
By the time Aeriin was out of the shower, the three demons were at the kitchen island eating breakfast. Or two of them were, Ani was sitting on one of the stools. As Aeriin walked in, she looked over at the mirror in the hallway, that was turned around, facing the wall. She frowned but moved over to join her friends.
"So Ani's sealed?" Taraka asked with a smirk. "That's unfortuna-
"If you touch me, I'll have you tear your own tongue off and use it to clean the floor." Ani warned without even looking up from the newspaper she was reading. The effect was exactly what she wanted, and Taraka went back to eating without another word.
