It's been a week since I met that stupid green-eyed man, and it's now 5 a.m. and I'm sitting cross-legged in my closet, trying to find information on him. I couldn't seem to get him out of my head, so I decided I needed to know who he is, and I've always been good at finding people and their backstory. I went back to the place where the party was hosted and found the list of people who were invited. I've been looking through every name, but I haven't found him yet, which infuriates me. I enter the next name on the list, and a picture pops up. A smile of victory creeps onto my lips as I recognize him. I scroll down and the name I see makes me take a second look. Well, shit. Those mesmerizing green eyes belong to none other than Hunter Stone, the boss of one of the biggest gangs in the country. I've heard his name before, but I had never met him. I sigh loudly as I keep on reading about him. He's 27 years old and has been the boss of his gang for two years now because his father died. He's well known to be ruthless and an amazing fighter. There is no information on where he lives, his family, or the people in his gang. He seems pretty good at hiding who he is, but not good enough for me to not find any information at all. I make sure to delete everything from my laptop before closing it and putting it away. I take my second phone, the one I use only for my job to make it easier for people who hire me to send their information without having to actually meet me. I never meet anyone who hires me, I cannot be seen. People hear about me, and I hear about them, and from there they think they are the one hiring me, but really I am the one choosing to work for them. I put my number in a place where they'll find it, and then I just wait for a text and a cash deposit. I look at the phone and read a new text I've received. Shit, I'm in trouble. I put the phone back on the shelf, and look at the time. Bloody hell I'm going to be late to work again! I dress up quickly and run out of my apartment, and straight to my car. I'm speeding off into the streets of my neighborhood, applying lipstick at the same time. I honk at a car in front of me for being too slow before driving past it.

"Can't people learn how to drive?" I grumble.

I finally make my way into the coffee shop driveway where I work and jump out of my car. I run to the door and when I get inside Ava seems beyond mad.

"You're late again!" she exclaims. "I had to open this stupid place all alone again," she scowls.

"I'm sorry," I apologize sincerely.

She shakes her head before going back into the back store to finish opening up. I put my uniform on and join her, but she ignores me.

"I really am sorry," I pout.

She glares at me and looks around her before speaking.

"It's not because you have a second job that you have to let me open this place alone every morning," she growls.

"I know, and I promise it won't happen again. Forgive me?" I plead.

A small smile appears on her lips and I know I've won.

"I knew you wouldn't stay mad at me," I smile wildly.

She rolls her eyes and brushes me off before going back to the front of the store to open. I hear the familiar ringing, letting me know a client is already inside. I tie my hair in a low bun before heading behind the counter. I see Ava already in action as a line of people keeps getting longer. I'm in for a long day. I plaster a smile on my face and serve my first client of the day.

I'm running from the back store to the front, refilling the refrigerators and bringing freshly baked pastries when I hear Ava call for help. The lunch madness has started and everyone is in a hurry to pick up a coffee before going back to their workplace. Everyone is rude and I'm on the verge of snapping at someone. I take the next client in line.
